“Great Location”
Reviewed February 21, 2008

My husband and I stayed here in June of 2005 and loved this hotel. The location and the view were perfect. It has obviously been a few years since we have been there, but we would return and recommend the hotel.

This hotel is across the small river from the old town (a five minute walk), affording a lovely view of the town, water and yachts. It's upstairs from another small hotel and a travel agency. The rooms are newly renovated, clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The bathroom is modern with a stall shower. The staff is very nice and helpful. Breakfast was fine, and one can order other things besides what is offered at the rather small buffet. The only downside is the street noise. Lots of noisy motorcycles (I'm sure driven by men with inadequacy issues). There are double windows which I'm sure help muffle the noise, but I like sleeping with open windows and managed to get a good night's sleep nonetheless. The upside (if you're driving) is they provide parking and parked the car for us. They also provide a pick up service to and from the airport. I'd definitely stay here again and Trogir is a wonderful little town.

Great view of Trogir! But I haven't seen before two hotels in the same building, you have to pass one to enter the other. I don't recommend this hotel for the weekend. I couldn't sleep because of the noise of motor bikers.....

Stayed at Villa Sikaa for 2 nights in Trogir. We really enjoyed the hotel and thought it was an excellant value for the money, especially in high season.

Positives: staff were extremely friendly and always willing to help; free internet in the lobby; thoroughly clean rooms; nice breakfast; good location.

Negatives: only minor gripe was that you could hear very clearly the water running in both your bathroom, and the one next door.

We stayed at the Villa Sikaa for 2 nights in May this year. Yes parking can be difficult to find, but that goes for just about any accomodation in a small hotel right in a town and we managed to find a spot about 100 yards down the road outside the boat restaurant. Being located just across the water made it excellent for walking around the old town of Trogir and meant we didn't need to worry about how late we stayed out as the hotel is only a short walk away.
Our twin room was an average size, clean and the bathroom was excellent and benefitted from a modern shower/sauna. The room also had air conditioning which worked really well. The breakfast room had views across the water to the old town, while the breakfast itself was basic, but functional.
The staff are friendly and the communications via email while setting up our stay were excellent.
The only criticism was that on Friday night there was loud music and singing till 3am that made it pretty much impossible to sleep. On Thursday night there were no problems at all, so I asked at reception what the noise could have been and they said there's a restaurant next door but they wouldn't be open that late. Well the revelry came from somewhere...had we stayed Weds and Thurs instead of Thurs and Fri and not had all the noise I would have given the hotel a very positive 4/5 and highly recommended it, but I'll have to give it a 3/5 with a caveat of weekend noise.

The Villa Sikas staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Especially Anna. They found us a place to park right outside the hotel, this was key in the area. The room was nice, clean and had a beautiful view of the city. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel . Be careful because there are two hotels in the same building but their reception is on the ground floor on the left when you enter

Vila Sikaa is an ancient hotel overlooking a canal on a heavily trafficked
street with difficulty in parking. We were there the last week of May 2005
for one night. We had intended to spend three or four nights there but
checked out after one night. As you enter the hotel, on the right side is a
motor scooter concession. The rear of the ground floor contains a bar.
The first floor is rented out and the rooms offered by the hotel are on the
second and third floor with no elevator. Some of the rooms have slanted
ceilings conducive to hitting one's head.

We were lucky to have found a lovely hotel overlookiing the Adriatic Sea
with no cars permitted because it was in the old town with wonderful
monasteries, churches, cobbled stone streets in marvelous narrow alleys.
Trogir is a mini-Dubrovnik and this section delightful. The Hotel Concordia
was in the right area and cheaper than the Vila Sikaa. It also was facing
a promenade. The staff were very accommodating. All cars in this
section have to park in a designated area.
