“Beautiful Setting, Lovely Stay”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

Stayed on our way through Croatia for one night, out of season.

Staff were lovely, and couldn't be more helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the food was excellent.

We were free to roam the vineyards at our pleasure, and got a brief tour of the cellars too. Unfortunately, they didn't do any tastings for us (may happen in season - not sure), but we managed to drink plenty at dinner instead!

When we arrived, we were enchanted by the beauty of the surrounding vineyards. And it is only good here. The service is very below average with high cost. Lack of basic attitude towards guests. Upon the recommendation of colleagues announced that we would like to see the wine cellars. Head of the basement showed a complete lack of desire to show them to us iobjasni something about wines. Although we bought about 20 bottles of wine I have a feeling that he would prefer if we did not come. Never again here and never more this wine.

My wife and I decided to book this hotel as an overnight stop over on the way to Serbia. The hotel forms part of the Zdjelarevic Winery and is in a lovely location amongst 35 hectares (approximately 90 acres) of vineyards.

The hotel is modern (built in 2003) and had large spacious freshly painted bedrooms comprising home-made oak furniture. Our room was extremely clean and the bed comfortable (although a little squeaky but not enough to deter a good night’s sleep). The bathroom was also nicely furnished with toiletries provided. Wi-fi was also available throughout the entire hotel and worked satisfactorily during our short stay.

The hotel also has a lovely restaurant and outdoor terraced alfresco area which looks out onto the neighbouring vineyards and is themed to compliment the winery. We dined at the restaurant which has an “a la carte” menu during our stay and the food was simply wonderful (strongly recommend the wine soup and venison medallions), as was the local wine.

Breakfast was a basic continental type with a limited choice, comprising cereals and cold meats but was adequate.

Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to ensure our stay was pleasant, thereby adding to an enjoyable stop over.

In conclusion, we would certainly have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for a short stay, which as an added bonus also accepts all types of credit cards.

The hotel is located in the middle of wine yards. It is a very nice decorated hotel and the personel is very friendly. Clean, new, friendly place to stay, away from the city and motorway. There were only two little problems which I think they can solve easily. The air condition in the room was not working and it was about 35-40 degrees (Celsius) in the outside. So sleeping in the room was not easy. The second negative thing is the breakfast. It was really poor, not much choise and without much taste. If there is someone from the hotel management reading this review, please solve those problems. Than you will have a perfect hotel.

We came back to this place after three years where we couldn't sleep because of the air con noises. The problem was indeed fixed. The place was wonderful, the staff friendly and the location stunning. Dinner was great. Went on an early morning hike and enjoyed the great scenery.

Hotel and surrounding vineyards are stunningly beautiful. The hotel is very tastefully built and decorated, rooms are large, clean and functional and staff is very polite and helpful.

It was a bit disappointing that everything closes at 9 pm, but, we can understand that it is not feasible to have a bar or wine cellar open when there are not many guests present...

Breakfasts and wine were absolutely perfect; dinners were nice and tasty, but overpriced for a shown skill level.

I don't if they've moved the aircon mentioned in the other reviews but we certainly didn't hear it. Lovely clean, spacious rooms. Friendly staff. Gorgeous surrounds. Lots of parking. Fast WIFI. The television didn't work, but that's a small thing and everything else was fantastic.
