Do not miss this venue, Croatia has fantastic wine and Istria as a district is a big producer.
The owner of the bar Paolo Markulin, is an extremely knowledgeable man who will serve you the best Croatia has to offer. If you love wine, you will love Baccus and the prices too !

Brilliant location - going back in time in some respects.
Good shopping, picturesque, friendly staff in the bars and cafes, and good value for money

Rovinj is a pretty as a picture -with a distinct Italian feel. Lovely Mediterranean atmosphere as you wander the narrow cobbled streets. Originally a Roman settlement, Rovinj was ruled by Venice from 1283 to 1797.

Fabulous waterfront with an added bonus of a beautiful 15 minute walk along the new promenade to Zlatni (The Golden Cape).

Lots of restaurants, coffee and ice cream stops line the streets up to the church and along to the marina.

Look out for the street named Grisia, just through the Balbi arch. There you will find good quality artist shops and galleries . We purchased a large pebble painted with the famous scene of Rovinj from the sea ! The shop also sold very good oil paintings.

The old town has something for everyone - don't forget to visit St Euphemia's Church and climb the wooden staircase for fantastic views .

Only problem is lots of smokers and as restaurants/bars are all outside its difficult to escape them
