Very Beautiful - but can get busy. Most people simply visit the harbour area and walk up to the Church of St. Euphemia which is a very enjoyable thing to do with stunning views. However there is more to Rovinj. You could try the bell tower next to the church for even better views - however you will have to be OK with heights as the stairs are open, old and wooden!

Another idea id to take your swimming gear and go for a swim from the beaches. Best Location? Beaches by the stunning Hotel Lone. Park your car there - walk into town then come back after lunch and have a swim in the afternoon.

A fairly small port, but what is astonishing is the clarity of the water. You can see right down to the bottom. It is like looking through a clear window pane. I have never seen such clear water anyplace, and I have seen some waters.

I had an amazing view of the entire harbor from my room at the Hotel Park and I have to say that I was seduced by the beauty of this place at sunset. I shot a ton of photos with a tripod on my balcony throughout the first evening I arrived, since I was desperate to capture the essence of what I was experiencing. If you scan the cityscape and the surrounding port, you'd be hard-pressed to find many components that would stand out in a photo taken decades prior. It's one of those timeless views of a small port city worth cherishing....

Loved all the fishing boats and the fact it is an authentic working port, lots of bars and restaurants to sit at and soak up the view

Was lucky enough to see all the sailing boats out in the marina on race day followed by the beautiful super yacht Quinta Essentia. What a yacht. Lovely just to sit around the port watching all the yatchs, fishing boats and day trippers coming in and out.
