Pros:
• Great hosts
• Well-equipped room
• Beautiful seaside view
• Doorstep parking

Cons:
• Quite a distance from town if you're not a fan of walking

There wasn't much left when we were searching for a place to stay in Rovinj in June but we're very thankful that we found Apartments Palma.

Just like any other accommodation in Croatia, an early check-in wasn't a problem but what sets Apartments Palma apart from the rest was its warm and meticulous hospitality.

Before our arrival, Johnny and Ivica, made sure that we were all set to enjoy a pleasant time in Rovijn; they replied emails promptly to ensure that our stay was confirmed and that payment was settled so we needn't worry about bringing any cash.

Upon arrival, Ivica showed us to our apartment. To be honest, we were quite unsure about our room; it looked like a lived-in living room with a double bed placed beside it. It felt like we were bunking in an old friend's apartment for the night. It wasn't untidy, it was just 'very realistically furnished'. But nonetheless, everything was clean and organised, which was very important. The room came with a separate kitchen and a balcony, both with a fantastic view of the sea.

Johnny personally sat us down to give a detailed and honest orientation of what Rovinj had to offer - from the sunny beaches to the beauty of the Old Town. He made sure that he was able to be as informative as possible to cater to our needs. Johnny makes the best and honest recommendations and i think that's what we really liked about Apartments Palma.

There's nice comfortable bicycles available for you to cycle to town for free which adds to the convenience and cuts your commute by half. Navigating around is straightforward and safe.

Parking is under a shed just outside the accommodation so lugging your luggage to your room is effortless. Best of all, parking is free.

We were pleasantly surprised that our room turned out to be one of the most comfortable stays in Istria. There was actually nothing to complain about. The aircon and water heater worked as instructed (actually more consistent than some upmarket hotels), sheets were clean, bed and pillow was very very comfortable, towels smelled great, location was a little further away but the tranquility made up for it. I guess the ambience and great hospitality landed itself to that cozy homestay feel that was priceless.

Thank you Johnny and Ivica!

Room tip: Rooms upstairs have a good view of the sea.

My friend and I spent two nights here, sharing an upper level, two bedroom, one bath apartment. It was terrific.

The bedrooms were large, with plenty of closet space and comfortable beds. The bathroom was quite spacious, with a wonderful shower, a window for daylight and ventilation, generous vanity space, a good mirror and lighting, a real hair dryer, and a washing machine.

This apartment is lovingly maintained and immaculately clean. Johnny and his mother are perfect hosts.

The location is an easy walk from the old town, and yes, you have a view of the old town and the sea from the lovely, outdoor terrace. Onsite parking is included, as is wifi.

The kitchen is large, with a full size frig, table and chairs, stove, oven, and a dishwasher.

We loved our time here, and recommend it highly for your stay in Istria.

The apartment is in a really good location. Close to the beach and to the old town. The family is extremely nice and helpfull. Before you plan anything make sure to ask the owner about prices and things to do. The flat we staid in was clean, comfortable and cosy.

We (two mature couples) found this place on the web as we were touring Slovenia and Croatia, and it was a comfortable, quiet choice. The family were friendly and helpful with advice, and the apartment was roomy, with a courtyard outside. The number of tour groups was not overbearing, as it can be, and the old town was a pleasure to stroll around.

Room tip: The two-bedroom apartment is on the ground floor. Others are upstairs.
