We had such a fun time. Comfortable room, excellent beaches and swimming, great pool and, above all, such a friendly atmosphere. Everyone was just so jolly. The micro-brewed beer was a treat (especially the dark beer 'tamno') and the restaurants reasonably good (especially Saline). Good well stocked supermarket on site, too. Go there, especially if you're a first-time naturist.

We have yet to find a better place for a naturist holiday. This year, the pool has been improved, so in addition to the salt water pool (which is quite bracing first thing in the day!) there is now a heated, outdoor chlorinated pool, with two hot tubs.

Accommodation has been updated in some areas, but there are also signs of improved landscaping all around the camp.

Most people here are Germans or Austrians, with Italians, Croatians, etc also in large numbers. Most staff speak good English, but understanding some German words can help!

Visitors need to cover up in the site reception, supermarket and restaurants, but otherwise, all areas are nude. We were a bit disappointed in the small number of people coming to the pool dressed or in bikinis - it can feel a little uncomfortable to be naked and for others not to be. The camp rules state that pool and beach users should be naked, but I would hope that the staff enforce this better - I can wear clothes anywhere, but naturism should be the rule in a naturist resort!

We were self-catering, but the main restaurant (mostly used by those on B&B or half-board rates) is reasonable value about £7.00 per person for buffet breakfast, £13.00 for buffet all you can eat dinner. Be aware, the food is good, but quite German orientated.

Room Tip: Mobil homes are spacious, but noise travels. Worth looking at the refurbished apartments for less so...

Valalta is the far best spot for a vacation significant for relaxation and harmony!!! The moment you've checked in and unpacked in the bungalow or apartment, the feeling of uncomplicated calmness rises in your body.
The place is clean and peaceful and offers a variety of beaches, lawns, shady spots, bars and restaurants. During the days you're soaking up the sun on one of the beaches or enjoying a boat excursion along the coast line. When the night comes you're enjoying a good dinner and a bottle of red Istrian wine at a restaurant in one of the beaches while watching the amazing sunset, which you never get tired of, That's for sure!
We've been visiting Valalta for 5 years in a row now and is allways looking forward to the return to this paradise on earth.

Excelent location, clean, safe, Very good for families. Each year something new. If you wan to move from one end to other end a bicycle may be a good idea)take with you or or rent) as the object is just huge-but still frendly due to very versile costline (from big rocks to peble and a sandy part. Good value restaurant compared to te city (Rovinj).

Room Tip: LSA rooms are advertised as for 2-3 persons bbut it has lot of space, 2 adults and 2 kids will have...

Valalta is a superb example of what a naturist resort can be and should be. I can't recommend it too highly if you're looking to gain an all over tan next summer.

Firstly, accommodation. I stayed in one of the small Bungalow B types, the cheapest on the site. The room has two beds - laid end to end as a space saving measure, small bathroom with adequate shower, fridge, television and most importantly, air conditioning. On the patio, there are sunbeds and a parasol, if you wish to relax outside during the day in the sunshine.

No-one goes to a naturist resort to sit in their accommodation all day, though and it's the facilities which make this complex stand out from its competitors. The pool, manned by the pool attendants was particularly popular - comprising a paddling pool for the very little ones, a deeper area for the kids to play with their inflatables and beachballs and a third area for the serious - and not so serious swimmers.

Here, as around the camp in general, the entertainment staff worked very hard. Everything stopped for Aquabatics mid morning and there were plenty of kids' games organised throughout the day. The pool can accommodate a few hundred but by eleven sunbeds seemed hard to come by, though numbers thinned out somewhat when people drifted off for lunch.

The beaches were obviously popular, particularly with families and again there's much to keep the kids occupied, including inflatables to climb and dive off, to race along, to bounce about on and of course, the huge water slide where a never ending procession of kids (and adults) climbed, slid, splashed and careered round for yet another turn.

Alternatively, there's an extensive quiet, shaded, grassed area for more relaxed sunbathing.
The camp's extensive, by the way, it takes a good half hour to walk along the shoreline from the Marina to the far end and its full of people, young and old, happily enjoying themselves all along the way.

Guests staying half board take breakfast and evening meal at one dedicated restaurant. Breakfast comprises a mixture of continental rolls, salads, cold meats, breads and croissants with the more English fare - bacon, eggs, etc. Cereals, juices, coffee, tea etc. are available daily. At evening meal there was usually a choice of four meat and fish dishes, and a pasta selection, together with the usual salads, starters and soups. Fruit, ice creams and small slices of cake were offered up for dessert. The food quality was very reasonable and there was always something that appealed.

Elsewhere around the camp there were various other restaurants, some dedicated to pizza, other to fish, plenty of choice.

As I mentioned earlier, the animation team worked long hours entertaining the guests, particularly the children. Kids Club opened at 10 and apart from a short afternoon break seemed to run all day. There were exercise sessions for adults, dance for the teenagers, various sports, games, a minidisco for the younger kids at 8 each night - in fact a whole programme of events the vast majority of which I never saw because I was busy sunbathing at the pool at the time - the team never stopped.

Plenty of activity at night when the bars come alive, too, though everything stops at midnight - the quiet time.

Dress codes are clear - clothes worn in indoor restaurants, shops and Reception, naturism in the pools, beaches, sea - in fact anywhere were water is involved. Thousands of naturists happily comply with this policy - it's the very reason they've come - and the very, very occasional guest who might forget will soon be reminded by one of the beach or pool attendants.

The camp's spotless, the staff invariably cheerful and helpful, and the entire package guarantees a relaxed, fabulous atmosphere, with thousands of like minded naturists milling about, laughing and enjoying themselves in the sunshine. Superb!

Valalta continues to grow, update and renovate. In two years they have expanded. Added two additional pools and two restaurants.
Since our last visit 2 years ago the most impressive change has been the quality of their food at the restaurants. The new restaurant Uvala which has a new pool with bar seats in the water, was excellent. The seafood selections were all only hours from the sea, good variety of entrees and the prices are very reasonable. Spaccio restaurant follows suit as the meals were fresh, well prepared and reasonable. Of particular note the Anchovy Carpaccio was the best I've ever had.
Not to be outdone, The Grill which features mainly grilled entrees, whole lamb, piglet and chicken. Grilled in open pits at the serving area. Amazing... and once again, large portions and very reasonably priced.
The Apartment was a one bedroom with sitting area, kitchen area and full bathroom. The type was "VB". Centrally located to the market, pool, beach and restaurants. The terrain is basically flat so there aren't mountains to climb to get to and from your apartment.
All the employees we came in contact with were all exceptional, helpful and informative.
You really couldn't ask for more, or say there was something lacking. Very relaxing and one of our most enjoyable holidays.

Room Tip: They do have meal plans and a dining room for them. The cost of eating at the restaurants versus the...

Aside from the large inflatables off the main beach, many improvements, the facilities, especially sanitary, absolutely excellent, and beautiful flowers. Apartment blocks painted in pleasant pastels, better than the rather Stalag Luft grey of previous visits. Staff always cleaning and bins emptied. As always, good for the soul to be naked in the sun and sea with like minded people of all ages without worries, cares or hang ups. Our favoured spot to lounge was near the Cocobana beach bar, which was quieter. Mini market there stocks everything you need for a lunchtime picnic. Easy to visit for the day by the small bus from Rovinj bus station, and a further small fee to enter. Admired some of the permanent units there with gardens right by the sea, lucky Germans!
