This hotel is your typical Europe Hotel. A 4 star in Europe with 4 start prices but only a 2 1/2 star in the US. Although the US has much higher standards of living. The hotel was not bad. I would have preferred a queen or a king bed for my husband and I instead we got 2 twins pushed together and made separately. We paid extra for the breakfast and dinner. Was a good choice, decent amount of choices and enough to get full on. The lounge bar was a nice place to relax. Pictures show a beach……I looked but never found it. I only found a rocky ledge and stairs to climb down. Still beautiful though. Only a 10 min walk from the city center, very nice beautiful, clean city. Could stay at again but would wait until cheaper.

I think the hotel Zagreb is a wonderful place to relax. Located near Porec, but not in the city center, which provides some privacy and quiet. The rooms are spacious and equipped with all amenities. The restaurant is large and has a wide variety of foods and beverages. Of course the beach is disappointing, no sandy beach, just rocks. But there is a pool, which unfortunately was not able to try because in May it has not worked. I guess in summer will be great!

We were looking forward to another weekend escaping from home. What a disappointment! It would take too long to make a list of negative aspects, so I'll point out only two that were satisfactory: food and staff. Unfortunately, this is not enough to make us come back to this hotel. We were lucky enough to stay in this hotel in early October, we can't imagine how does it feel to live in small rooms without air conditioner!

Room Tip: Go to another hotel!

Big disappoint, for after reading the reviews I was expecting something better and unfortunally it wasn´t good
For the following hasn´t air conditioned, no fridge neither safe deposit optional in the bedrooms.
The toilet it looks like the ones in seventies and it was very poor.
The breakfast and dinner was ok but they charge 18 kunas for an orange juice...

It´s was very hot at night and it was s impossible to sleep with the noise of the streets and from another clients
Some of the personal was very nice and helpful but clearly they cannot do much more.

Having read the reviews for this hotel I booked it anticipating something perhaps slightly better than what we got, but was still very happy and totally satisfied.
There are no hotels in the Old Town as clearly this was built before Poreč became touristy - but this must be one of the closest there is, which being as it's also one of the cheapest is a real bonus! It's also the only hotel to have any sort of beach on this strip - all the others just have concrete & sunbeds - but at least with The Zagreb Hotel there is a small beach option too which was nice.
Hotel staff were all very friendly & helpful & always seemed very happy.
I was actually not overly impressed with the food, although it was freshly cooked (which is great for a buffet) there seemed to be plenty of fish and potato dishes, but not so many meat options. Also lots of the sweets & definitely the breakfasts had grapefruit in - something I am not allowed due to medication I take - & I know lots of other people are the same - so it's a shame as was quite hard to avoid! The variety of food never seemed to change. Their milk was clearly watered down & it was like having quarter milk, three quarters water on your cereals. One thing I must say though is there bread selection was fantastic & very fresh.
Drinks in the hotel were probably about a third more than other places (restaurants) but there is a little shop right next door where you can buy water, coke beer etc.
The room was small but clean & the bed comfortable. The shower was very small & the pressure was really terrible - but it was at least hot.
We didn't use the pool but the area with sunbeds around it did look very nice & well kept & clean. They also offer free Wi-Fi in their reception area which was very useful for us.
All in all don't expect too much - the hotel is quite dated but very reasonable price and a good location.
