Lovely spot with plenty of space for good photo opportunities. My now fiance proposed to me here and it will remain extra special for us!

One of teh best places ever visited in Europe. It is about a wonder of nature that every traveller must see. Try it and believe me you will not regret it.

Plitvice National Park was awesome! One of the best aspects is that it allows you to adapt to your hiking preferences and abilities; as you can just walk the "lower lakes" and see plenty of magnificent views or you can do the "middle lakes" if you want to hike higher and see more or, if you're really fit - you can go all the way to the "upper lakes". For those unable to hike at all, you can get some really nice views by just riding the "shuttle" all around the lakes. The hotel is pretty basic; but still nice enough. If anywhere near Plitvice, it's definitely worth the trip in my book.

Beautiful and scenic place. The blue lakes and water falls are worth seeing in Croacia. We stayed in one of the hotels in the park and even if it was cold was beautiful. It`s worth seeing both up and down lakes.Very nice walking area.Unfortunetely no bath!!!Even if you can`t stay more than one day with an overnight you should do it. If you are not with a package tour, stay at least 2 days.

We went here on a packaged tour. What a waste of time- it takes hours to get there and we couldn't leave fast enough for my liking. Nasty to stay overnight as well. A real tourist trap.

Overrun by cheap (mass) tourists- who probably like it because it is a cheap getaway. People hustling to push their way onto the over-crowded ferry boats, wielding their baby strollers like assault weapons since they don't want to wait their turn in line. Maybe these are the people giving it great reviews (I have observed these types of people can get quite touchy when their chosen vacations get 'put on blast' for what they really are).

No decent quality hotels or quality dining either. For anyone who has been on an eco-tour/ eco getaway in North or Central America, the big fuss about this place is mystifying. It's just some lakes and waterfalls, plus the usual lousy Croatian service and 'basic' hotel amenities. Obviously the hotel operators know they can rook the tourists who come regardless.

For the time wasted getting to and from this location, why not spend the extra time in Slovenia (Lake Bled is gorgeous and much more pleasant and refined, plus the Villa Bled if still open has high quality gourmet dining, and the Slovenian Postojna Karst Caves are truly a wonder of nature)? Or better yet, stay in Istria which is fantastic.
