Hotel Jezero

We spent the night here while visiting Plitvice Lakes National Park. The hotel had the look and feel of college dorms, and although the rooms were adequate and clean, it felt cheap and in desperate need of updating. Our room was especially unusual and had a living room, a bedroom, a balcony, and two bathrooms...all of which had industrial carpet and mismatched furniture. Again, our room was very clean, just out-of-date. The restaurant on site again had the look and feel of a college dining hall, but the food was good and the staff attentive. Despite the hotel looking and feeling like it stepped out of the 70's, the location is unbeatable. After breakfast, we literally walked out the back door of the hotel and we were at the trails that wind around the lakes. We would absolutely stay here again because you can't beat the location if you want to visit and enjoy the beauty of lakes and waterfalls. Although the hotel itself was average, the location was EXCELLENT, which is why I rated it "Very Good".

Perfect location just near the entrance to the Plitvička jezera National park.
It's rather a big hotel, but calm and quiet. Friendly stuff. Good service, what is not typically for the area :-)) Vi-fi, good choice for brecfast. Bus stop is near.

It's in a great location!
But.. was told by receptionist that there would be a 1055 bus to split when I checked in, but when i checked out at 1015, was told the next bus would be at 1350hr! I would have made it for the earlier bus at 0945 if I had been given more accurate information. Perhaps they need to understand that in this low season, we are highly dependent on the few buses that bring us out and giving us more accurate information would be extremely helpful.

Big comfortable rooms, excellent service and great location in National Park. Breakfast was fairly good hotel fare. Restaurant meals were adequate. You need to look at this hotel for its convenience as it is usually a one or two night stay with a any number of tourist buses. I thought it achieved its purpose.

Big hotel that can accommodate many groups is hidden among trees in beautiful environment, close to entrance of Plitvice National Park. Rooms are big and quite comfortable, I had luck with a nice view from big balcony, so it's great for couple of days holiday stay.
Unfortunately it's far away from other places, so if you don't want to drive, you should rely on hotel food that is not as tasty as it could be and bored faces of waiters who apparently hate their job make even worse impression.
I was disappointed, especially because lack of taste in food (had full board) and friendliness (do they expect to be extra paid for "Good morning!", "Thank you!" or "Enjoy your meal!" or was my mistake that I spoke in their language?!) of all staff, except few nice and worst paid cleaning ladies.

Room Tip: Higher floors with balcony, but you should count on morning waiting time as elevators are small and...

The road from Zagreb was very slow with lots of villages and 60kph speed zones . The room was ready when we arrived about 1pm. Rooms are spacious and clean. We appreciated the long bench under window in our standard room. The only difference between our standard room and our friends' superior room was a full size bath and another single bed. We couldn't turn off heating in bathroom but the bed was comfortable.
The buffet breakfast was fine ( not outstanding) but adequate. The evening meal was not great. We learnt that it was better to choose grilled trout - other fish and veal dishes ordered by our companions came with a thick layer of batter.
The reception staff and bell boy did their jobs adequately but without pizazz. We booked these rooms 6 months in advance - and they certainly saved the drive to outside the park after a big day walking. Crowds with tour groups were big and waiting for the boat about 4pm impossible - we walked instead. The beauty of staying at this hotel was that they stamp your national parks ticket for the 2nd day - not that anyone checked!

Spent one night there. Viewing all postings about this hotel, went there with zero expectation. The staff’s English is very good, and they have been very helpful. The breakfast was quite bad, and the dinner acceptable.
As stated by other contributors, the tub drain was very slow, and after showering, the washroom floor turns into a swimming pool. And please remember - they don’t have slippers. Wi-fi only in the lobby and restaurant. No room access.
The upside of course, is that it is located right next to the hotel entrance. If you go for the long route, you may want to buy a sandwich at the store between the entrance and the hotel.
