Rivica restaurant once was synonymous for gastronomy, but today is only a shadow of that shine. I visited the restaurant Rivica after a few years ago and I remember a fantastic restaurant that remained was a top 20 restaurants in Croatia.
After free aperitifs of house, we ordered an appetizer: carpaccio of frogfish and tuna, octopus salad, salad of shells, salted and marinated anchovies. Served and homemade bread and a solid olive oil. Fish given to us from a very friendly waiter offered was medium quality and we opted for scampi risotto.
The risotto was correctly but it could not find the scampi. Risotto of 105 kn (15 €) with a pair of tiny shrimp was a disaster. For dessert we ordered and excellent rozata (cream caramel) but disappointment rest, because we are expecting a much better food.
Bill was reduced by 10% off but waiter charged 3 bottles of water, we have only one, but I think it's an mistake, so no hard feelings.
