Description: Welcome to the family tavern, which in 1974 founded our grandpa Cvijo. The dishes you will taste are prepared with lot of love, effort and experience. Our chef asks for your patience while you wait for your meal as it is prepared with fresh Korčula ingredients and is cooked on the authentic barbecue. The first section of our restaurant is the central part of the tavern with kitchen with six tables from 1974. In the second section there are two large tables suitable for 14 guests each, and they are placed in the beautiful setting of an old shipbuilding workshop. The tools used in this workshop can still be seen today on the taverns inner walls. The third section is the terrace which was refurbished and opened for the public in 2007, with fantastic view at the oldest church in Korčula St.Peters and St. Marks cathedral or Mark Polos birth house. A unique location for a unique gastronomy experience from 1974!

Last year we were there eating Pasticada which was really good,so we decided to come back this year. What a dissappointment.Food is much worse than last year, service inappropriate, they scam the guests by serving tap water in Jana bottles and charging 30 kn for it.avoid this place.it was once a restaurant with tradition, now it's a typical example of low value for high prices, shame and dissappointment of croatian tourism (ps: we are from croatia).

We went to this quaint restaurant at the recommendation of the folks who owned the place we were staying. We ate on the terrace, and found the seafood to be delicious and well-prepared, but we somehow ended up with a gigantic platter that we determined later was because the waiter had misunderstood our order and essentially doubled it! We ended up spending more, of course, but actually ate most of the serving, as the food was truly delicious. The service was OK, but certainly nothing special.

Apparently judging by from the photos on the wall some of the most important politicians in Croatia have eaten here. Clearly that that was something from the past. We were very disappointed. This restaurant is frightfully expensive. We ordered white fish @ 36 Kunas a kilo. We were told the fish would be 300 grammes each, but were later told it was actually 900 grammes, our total meal cost 65 kunas. That's about twice what we would normally pay for a supper. The potato and spinach was extra, the former cold and latter comprising just the stalks. The was dripping in oil. Most of the fish was ja carcass of bones, skin, head and fins. The amount of flesh was minimum. To my mind it was not very fresh. The flesh was not fluffy and sweet as it should be. Altogether a disappointing experience.

The food and the service in this restaurant are really average, although it seems to me that the food is better than the service. One od those restaurants where you feel that the staff only thinks when you will pay and go away.

Management at Restaurant Adio Mare fails to understand that serving good food is not enough, you also need to provide good service and make your guests feel welcome. Avoid this place.
