“A piece of history which doesn't cost too much(time or money)”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 18, 2014

If this house actaully was the home of the sailor Marco Polo it's definitely worth a visit. Apart from the interesting ruins of his house the views of Adriatic are nice.

“Quaint tower”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 14, 2013

Steep wooden stairs lead up to the top of the tower in the Marco Polo house. Great view from the top. History is documented in photos on the walls.

“Not Marco Polo's House”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 24, 2013 via mobile

First off, the official placard upon entry points out that no is sure where Marco Polo was born, though most historians settle on either Korkula (this island) or Vienna.

Secondly this isn't even a house...it's a tower with a cute view.

The old town in general is pretty standard, old village streets and shops everywhere. They play up the Marco Polo tie heavily with trinkets and jewelry for sale.

I wouldn't recommend visiting this sight unless your simply looking for a view...even then it's better to go to the larger church steeple about 20 meters away.
