A lovely area. We were to lucky to have lovely hosts where we stayed but the price of food in the restaurants in Mlini itself was extortionate. They seemed to be mainly owned by the Dubrovnik Riviera Hotels which created a monopoly and almost captive market . For instance, Scampi and Chips was over £20 everywhere!!!! we live in London and found this ridiculous even by London standards!!! Lovely area, but ruined by greedy restaurants.

We arrived to an empty beach on a windy day. Absolutely no one around. We asked how much for a lounger: 60 kuna each. We offered 50, she refused. I mean we would have had lunch, drinks etc. but decided to go to the other restaurant Tri grede. Very nice guy there and day beds Free with a drink or lunch.
Seems idiotic to me to turn away customers but hey maybe they just enjoy being rude.

Great views. Delicious food. Fresh fish and just picked grilled veg. One of best meals we have had while visiting Croatia. Beach is perfect place for a dip after lunch. Really worth the trip.

We caught the first ferry over at 10am and walked across the islan£ to the bay. The place was empty and two hrs later it was full up. It is only a very little bay with few loungers so go early. The small restaurant is great.

Amazing beach! The water is incredibly clear and warm and great place to snorkel and swim! Because we went in September there were not many people there. You would leave Hvar port between 10 and 1 and then can be picked up between 4 and 7 so plan accordingly. Most beaches in Croatia are stones so make sure to bring a plush beach towel and water shoes are never a bad idea. Only 50kn for round trip (~$10 CAD). Highly recommend!
