During the summer months when throngs of young drunkards from the States and UK come to party your hotel is located just one street off the main bar street. There is also a jazz club located in the hotel that plays until 2AM. Either way do not expect to sleep quietly until at least 2AM here.

The first floor has 2 rooms from the main door, Room 1 and 2 that are the main corridor to the lobby. As you have not had much sleep and will try to be sleeping late you will here guests on the cobbled stone walking in front of your room to the lobby or conversations in the stone corridor echoing into your room.

During other portions of the year when the younger tourists are gone you may get a quieter experience. I had to use my earplugs with calm music to drown out the party scenes outside.

Otherwise the location is in the center of Hvar town. There is a restaurant that is attached to the hotel that is rated well on Trip Advisor. I found the house lights too high make a nice ambiance although the outdoor seating was nice with a vista of the main square.

The hotel was a good mix of modern and old town Hvar. The stone structure is well preserved while the rooms are modern. The aircon works well and the rooms are clean with all the facilities functioning. The bathroom has a standing shower and a nice amenity kit, minibar, flat screen TV, DVD player, and lockbox. The WIFI works well.

The staff is very kind and helpful.

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a VBT biking trip. Rooms were large and airy and included a nice sitting room. Breakfast on the terrace was lovely (although we did need to "flag down" the server to order eggs). We also had dinner there one evening and it was very good. Our meal was part of VBT pre-planned menu so I do not feel as though we have an accurate review of full restaurant menu. Location cannot be beat. Loved that this was a small hotel (only about 14 rooms I think) so it was not noisy at all at night even though Hvar is a very happening town.

We stayed in a balcony room overlooking the harbour which was fantastic. The hotel is modern and spacious with a separate living area which is great to relax in. Just be aware that there are a lot of stairs to climb which can be hard going if you have a lot of luggage. The breakfast on the terrace was delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Be aware that the rooms at the front can be noisy but if you keep the windows closed then it is okay. I recommend a balcony room because it is a very pleasant place to sit in the evening.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights and we really enjoyed it. The hotel is very close to the main square and has great views of the harbor. It also has a nice restaurant below with a gorgeous terrace overlooking the harbor. We had one of the rooms with a balcony (suite) overlooking the bay and it was so relaxing. It can be a little loud at night if your room faces the main square but once you close the windows, you can't hear the noise. The A/C in the room worked quite well.

The breakfast, which is included in the rate, was excellent. They serve breakfast from 7-9am and there is a wide variety of choices from fresh pastries, fruits, breads and eggs cooked any way you want. You eat on the terrace, which is very pretty.

Nevesa, the sales manager, was super helpful and accommodating. We arrived to the hotel late and she was waiting for us to make sure that we were taken care of. We needed an iron and she brought one to our room with an ironing board. She was really interested in ensuring our experience was positive. She helped us rent a motorini in town and recommended places to visit.

One factor to consider: The front desk staff go home at 8 pm and return at 8 am. You enter/exit the hotel using your room key card through the main door. If you are leaving the island before 8 am, definitely let the hotel staff know. There are also quite a few steps to climb from the main square to reach this boutique hotel. The hotel staff will help you with your luggage if you need assistance.

We decided to take the catamaran back to Split at 7:30 am instead of taking the later ferry from Starigrad and we were able to leave the money that we owed for laundry with the waiter during breakfast. In fact, we had to leave the key to the motorini that we rented with the waiter as well and attached a note for Nevessa. She was incredibly accommodating.

I would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Definitely pay the extra money for a room with a view and balcony. Our room was #22.
