“Perfect Location and Perfect Hotel Park”
Reviewed December 26, 2012

Location of Hotel Park is perfect, stayed 4 days loved every minute of it.
My room was very clean, spacious and had great views of the harbor. The delicious breakfast was served on terrace over looking the harbor. Every night I would listen to the fantastic music coming from the Bar/Lounge down stairs. The staff are very friendly and always made me feel welcome. Yes, I would stay in this Hotel again, and I hope to soon.

It's more like a time share, not hotel.large rooms and very uncomfortable bed.The shower head needs replacing, the out flow from shower is so slow,it took ten mins for water to drain, one have to have a quick shower otherwise there be a flood. We had to ask for shower jel, only one is left for two people, and not replanished.PIllows are terrible,no English channels to watch only CNN.The Guy at reception was ok,very little help from him when it came to giving us information of where can we get bus, taxi or hired car on Sunday, said no transport is available on Sundays. We went to Mimoza Restaurant and asked them for help regrading transport, they directed us to right place and for his information, there is transport on Sundays,Please note total stairs to climb is 72 from outside to second floor,The porter was very kind to help carry bags in and out ,I requested for that service, and it was provided. The breakfast was average, juice on Saturday morning was open with full of fruit flys in it..Rating will be three and not four.

Room Tip: Rather look at alternate accommodation. Do not plan on visiting if it is not tourist seasons 90% of...

Dear Anil H,

Thank You for taking time in reviewing Hotel Park!

I'm sorry to hear that you had a problem with runoff water in a shower...Since this should not be a problem, I believe that something was caught in the drain. If you had informed the reception about it, problem would be immediately removed.
I'm sorry if the bed was too hard or too soft for you taste, I can only tell that all mattresses and pillows are of superior quality and anti allergic. Also all mattresses are covered with an additional coating to provide a good sleep.
Satelite TV in each room has about 150 channels, and about 30 are in English (BBC, CNN, music channels, fashion channels and some children channels...)

Kind regards,

Lovely view from windows. Rooms are large, some with two rooms and two baths. Bedding, towels and bath products are average. No robes, no pool, no jacuzzi, no elevator. Hope you like climbing steps! Request a room with a balcony and you will be delighted. Loud bar noise when windows are open and you are trying to fall asleep.
Buffet Breakfast was average until I discovered the omelets, and latte options. Overall a nice 3 star hotel if you can do the stair master.

Very nice hotel that is centrally located near the Hvar harbor. The rooms are spacious and have great views of the harbor. Can be a bit noisy when windows are open. Lovely terrace restaurant. Free wireless internet but no pool or fitness center.

Stayed at this hotel in September and I enjoyed every minute of it.
So I will start with the cons of the hotel then move on to the pros.

Cons:
1- you will have to take your luggage up a steep flight of stairs, there is no porter and no elevator. so pack light.

Pros:
1- all the rooms have an apartment feel to them, they are clean and the place is safe.
2- the location is perfect as you are close to everything.
3- the View is incredible.

there is no pool or gym and the wifi is slow. and the one bedroom apartment is really a one bedroom with a living room with a pull out sofa. we were 3 people and we stayed comfortably. i slept on the pull out sofa I found it to be average in comfort just like any pull out sofa, so do not expect a bed like the Ritz or a sofa bed like the Westin. but both are comfortable enough for you to sleep.
if you are looking for luxury this hotel is not for you, if you have no intention of spending much time in the hotel and want to spend your money on other things than this hotel is just fine.

overall our stay was pleasant and I would stay there again

Dear Salireza,

Thank you for taking time in reviewing Hotel Park!

Hope you enjoyed your stay in Hvar!

Yes, unfortunately Hotel Park is few steps up from the main square which in one hand makes view from the rooms beautiful but in other hand makes a bit trouble for older persons or people with any kind of disability.
Also in hotel there is no elevator as there are only 2 floors (+ third floor in which there is only one, 85m2 large suite). Anyhow I understand this could be a problem for some persons so we have in plan to install an elevator in hotel eventually...

At the end just a small correction; Hotel Park has a porter and a minibus that could pick you up even from Split or Dubrovnik airport, Hvar or Stari Grad harbor... You just have to contact us in advance or on day of arriving and we send our driver/porter to wait for you.

Once again thank you for your time.

Best wishes,

Nadja Vukasovic

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a week in beautiful Hvar. This hotel is the best place to stay in the best part of Croatia. Its convenient location made us feel like we were so close to everything that Hvar has to offer. Our room was exceptionally beautiful; elegant with a presence of authentic Dalmatian style. The view of the town square, the seaside walkway and of course, the sea, were reason enough to stay there. The staff were very friendly and always made us feel welcome. It had everything that we expected from a luxury hotel and much, much more. I highly recommend this hotel I’ll definitely be going back (hopefully sooner than later).

Where to begin? First, we thought we were renting a one bedroom room with an extra bed in the living room. Not the case, it is in actuality a pull out sofa bed that is so thin and uncomfortable. Of course I only got to lay on it for a few seconds before the whole thing collapsed. When we complained at the hotel lobby the next morning (more on that later) we were told "We never had a problem before, most couples sleep fine on it." I am not a small man, but I am definitely lighter than a couple of people. It would of been nice to have been able to solve this problem in the moment but that was not possible since the reception is only open from 8 a.m to 8 p.m. Bad news for anyone who may be arriving here late. One night it was actually closed and locked before 6 p.m. After they "fixed" the bed the next day it promptly broke again, forcing me to sleep on the couch portion which was very uncomfortable. It was also very loud. The live singer down at the bar played well into the night making sleep difficult, not to mention the other loud guest yelling in the halls and slamming doors late at night after a night of drinking. The walls and ceilings are paper thin, and you can hear every closet open and slam shut.

I can't imagine what the other hotels are like for this to be ranked #1 in Hvar.

Dear Kris 1019,

You have been staying in Superior double bed suite.
We have only 2 superior double bed suites in hotel and they are both presented on our web site with photos and virtual walk so you know exactly which one you booked.

Superior double bed suite has a possibility of pull out bed in living room. Pull out bed is usually used for children to sleep on it or one adult.
You insisted on pull out bed because your were too big to fit with on king size bad with your girlfriend, as you told us.
We did not have been wormed that you are person with a particular disability, in this case obesity.
If we know this we would worn you that our hotel is not adequately equipped for this special needs.
Anyhow I am not sure why then you did not slept on a king size bed in bedroom and a your friend on a pull out bed?
After first night and our pull out bed, of course, been broken (wooden slats were completely broken!), we replace it and second night happens the same which shows how heavy must be the person lying on it! This has never happened in 6 years, and yes, this was our answer!

After all this, and by not want to discriminate a person with any kind of problem we did not charge pull out bed and we even gave you 10% discount on total amount!
Not to mention that we had to buy a new sofa with pull out bed so in the end you cost us more then you paid.

The walls and ceilings are not paper thin as this is original stone building from 16 century and each wall is about 1m "thin" plus completely flawless thermal and sound insulation been made when hotel has been renovated 6 years ago.

Front desk is not open during the night hours as Hotel Park is small hotel (15 rooms) so we always takes care of arriving times for all our guests. Once you are here, you can enter the Hotel during the night by using the magnet card.
Furthermore, our telephone calls are during the night always routed to the mobile phone of our colleague who is in 5 min walking distance.
This means you are still able to contact the front desk no matter of day or night, just the person at the front desk is not physically present during the night hours but is still able to come up on call.
