We stayed for two fantastic nights. Hands down the most amazing room we stayed in on the trip and we stayed at all very nice hotels. We booked a junior suite which was as large as some apartments. The staff, especially Maria were helpful and went out of their way to arrange the best excursions for us. Breakfast was divine.

Room Tip: Spend a little extra on a junior suite.

Villa Nora is highly rated on trip advisor, but maybe a little too high relative to the cost, even taking into account the location. There are lots of pluses, fantastic location, literally 5 mins from harbor on the castle side, the breakfast was massive, meat and cheese plate, bread, orange juice, fruit plate, yoghurt, fresh baked pastry, coffee, it is big, if you add that into the daily cost then it's a big plus. The rooms are big too and well equipped with cable tv etc. The  Internet was pretty bad and unreliable, and they should upgrade to a better modem rather than the tiny one they seemed to move to a different point on the stairs each day to get better reception. The bar fridge was useless, hardly big enough to hold 4 cans and didnt keep anything cold. That was really annoying as it would have been nice too have cold beer/ water ready after a long day in the sun. Eventually I went to the local Market around the corner and got a bucket and ice. However the room  airconditioning was good. Our Bathroom was big, but the shower was very small and below average. If you dropped the soap it was a struggle to bend down to pick it up. The Villa is located over the lucellus restaurant, which means it can be very noisy till about midnight, and after 3 nights of zorba the greek  paying at 11 pm , complete with plate smashing the novelty had worn off. I think if I came back, and now I know my way around I'd probably stay on the other side of the square, seemed quieter and you might get more for your money...but don't discount that breakfast, its big and the People were very friendly and helpful. We had a big suite, if you are a family or a group this might be ideal, but for a couple I reckon you might do better. What you are really paying for here is location and a big breakfast.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It can be loud some nights...but Hvar as a city can be loud, so we weren't bothered.

The breakfast was amazing! Tasty & plentiful.

Our only complaint was we were both working remotely on projects back home in Canada and although we were told wifi was available in the rooms..in our room (rm 2) the signal was really weak. Not a big deal but if you need private space to work and were planning on doing it from your room... Rm 2 wouldn't be ideal.

Our room was clean, big, & had a darling balcony.

Great breakfasts, phenomenal location near harbor, clean modern rooms, wi-fi, friendly staff. This hotel is close to many good restaurants. Hotel staff will take luggage from bus stop area as no vehicles are in the old city.

We stayed at Villa Nora for 3 nights. Our room was spacious with separate lounge/tv area and very large bathroom - though the shower cubicle was quite small. Breakfast was plentiful and served to our table. The family run hotel is both friendly and relaxed and right in the heart of Hvar town, just inside of the main St Stephen's square. Easy walking distance to the port, all restaurants, bus station, shops etc. Very good value for money.

Room Tip: There is no lift in this Villa but our room was on first floor so access wasn't too hard - and t...

Villa Nora is well located a few streets behind the main square. Our superior room was quite large with a comfortable king size bed, and windows that opened to catch the breeze.
Hotel staff were fantastic and helpful, meeting us at the port to escort us to the hotel, and also assisted with tickets back to Split (this may have been organized via our travel agent but still great to receive a welcome).
Breakfast was good, with selection of bread, fruit, cheese and cold meat, and they also cooked eggs if you wanted them.
A relaxing time on Hvar and at Villa Nora.
