Short trek up the hill (by Croatian
standards, about half hour) Phonomenal views of promenade
water and Adriatic! Breathtaking!
Good time for espresso and or lemonade. Needless to say it hits
the spot on a warm Croatian day.
Must return for another taste of heaven.

The views from this Fortress are great. You can see the promenade and whole of Hvar city. The trek to the Fortress is also great, although you can also reach the fortress on car.

We took a leisurely stroll up to the Fortress one morning in August - the views are stunning, and the Fortress itself is interesting to look around, but it really was the views that we still remember.

We had a great espresso and relaxed in the terrace cafe for a while.
Well worth the walk up, although I'd recommend going early in the morning before the midday summer heat.

There was a lovely stall selling handmade Hvar Lavender products on the way up (not a generic ones you find in the square) I still have a post and highly recommend you have a look, it's called Lavandula Hvar!

Amazing view form this old fortress located on the top of the hill. It is about half an hour of slow walk. Inside is very interesting.
