A perfect setting in a quiet cove 3 km from town. If you can get to the place it is well worth the effort and the price of the taxi from town. Even in high season the people are friendly and the food of the highest quality. Yes it's just fish but if fish is what you want this is the place for you. You can decline the grappa but that is part of the experience.

Ringo keeps it short and fresh...fish and other available seafood. grilled, accompanied with chips and grilled vegetable, full stop.
One may think why visit, then but I can tell you, Ringo makes the absolute best of it. Being a very frequent visitor of mediterranean restaurants and a seafood lover on top I have never eaten a better grilled sea bass of almost 1,5 kg and that proofs absolute freshness.(You just shouldn't eat Scampi in the midst of summer, because they ill never be fresh!)
We went there three times and no matter what we ordered always paid around 100€ which is not cheap but well worth it.
The only thing that made me just a little bit uneasy is the incredible choice of fish every day but I admit I didn't dare to ask if there is also some imported among it and whatever we'd had was excellent!
I have only two more things to recommend...just follow Ringo's instructions and visit towards the end of your holidays because you will find it difficult to settle with the fish served at other restaurants.

The day before coming to this restaurant, we were swimming nearby and saw them bring in a huge tuna and string it up. We then learned that it had been all eaten within that day - this is how fresh the food is here. The fish you eat depends on their catch and we had grilled prawns as a starter and a delicious sea bream as a main. Yes, it's expensive, but you will struggle to find better seafood. Great service with some grappa (grape brandy) thrown in at the end. Authentic, with great atmosphere.

bumped into this bay looking fir good anchoring spot, which this bay is. went to a restaurant where Mr. Ringo gave us a look, judged us and said, ok I shall feed you and show you what I can. From starters, octopuss salad and similar to traditional Gregada or grilled fresh fish, excellent! Pure Mediterranian as we remember! very fair prices, good domestic wine. no deserts, however the local grappa compensates it well
we'll be back!

The restaurant is in a gorgeous location over a blu bay just 4 km far from Hvar town. It really seems to eat "on" the sea!! We had excellent fresh fish and a really nice view of the bay (we ate in one of the outside tables). The owner is very nice and welcoming. It's a well known place to eat among sailors who stop their boats in the bay and get here by tender boats. If you are staying - like us - in camp Vira there is a shortcut from the upper eastern area of the camp that leads you there in just 5 minutes!!
