I loved staying at Dink's. It was affordable, we were really well looked after by Dink (and Papa Dink!) who gave us a map with all of his favourite places to go... Papa Dink cooked the whole hostel a massive BBQ with beer and wine, and we all got talking around the table and eventually went out together. wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

This place was AMAZING! As soon as we arrived, Dink sat with us and gave the low down on Hvar and great suggestions for restaurants/things to see. He even set up a little 5hp boat rental for us for the next morning. Additionally, his father "Papa Dink" was a darling gem!!!

Our room was perfectly clean, had a great balcony and comfortable beds. There was a fridge in our room as well, which was perfect.

Dink is such a great guy, and he really sets the tone for a warm and welcoming environment that every traveler can truly appreciate!

This place was our favourite hostel that we hit on our Adriatic vacation :) Thanks, Dink!!

P.S We arrived by car, and there was free street parking outside the hostel!

Dink's place was a great place to stay. Dink gives a great introduction to the island and is generally a very fun person. Dink's dad is always around if you have any problems and lastly Angelica works hard to keep the place spotless and is great for chat. The communal areas have a great atmosphere in the evenings, I met many awesome travellers here. All in all a superb and convenient place to stay in Hvar.

Don't stay anywhere else in Hvar! Lovely place, great nights out on the pub crawl and amazing beaches nearby. Plus Dink and Marcos are babes! ;)

kitchen, laundry, wifi etc all good. The rooms have air con and there's a good mix of room types the common areas are good for mixing with the other guests. Dink is an awesome host and can recommend all the best things to do on the island.

Loved our stay! Loads of banter, the room was more like a private apartment than a hostel room. The shower was actually amazing - better than mine at home haha. Good kitchen facilities and the shop was really handy. As was the beach. Dink and his dad were really accommodating and even gave us a lift to the next place we stayed!

Dink's english was great and he was so helpful with places to go, recommendations, pubs, clubs etc. And the pub crawl was really fun as well.

And if you don't go for anything else go for the eye candy ;)

We were excited about Dinks place before we even got there - just by the name & it didn't disappoint ! We spent 5 days there , and were lucky as a group of 5, to get the downstairs apartment with its own kitchen & bathroom. The hostel was kept spotless by the lovely Angelica , who would be there all day , even coming in a night to give a quick top up on toilet paper or changing kitchen towels. Dink himself , was awesome. I have never met a nicer person , he always had a smile on his face - I'd be shocked to see that guy no smiling ! And his motto " no worries " created such a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere ! When we arrived he advised us on what to do , where to eat along with other activities we could do during the days. His dad , what a lovely man , like dink always smiling , pleasant & would be shocked if we had a relaxing night just staying in. Overall , the staff makes this hostel the wonder it is !

It is located 5-10 minutes from the harbour in a pleasant hillside area , with great views of the sea. We regularly had breakfast out on the veranda or some drinks in the evening , just enjoying this gorgeous little place. There was a little super market just 2-3 minutes walk from dinks , which was handy to buy in some breakfasts or drinks as eating out all the time can become pricey. Just short 10-15 min walk from dinks, led you to a lovely cove , with turquoise water where we regularly spent our days ! Although on the journey to the cove is a pretty steep hillside , which provides some entertainment trying not to fall over. But it's ok & quicker than the 30/40 min walk around the island to get there!

Whilst we were there , dink had organised a pub crawl , although it was more a party boat followed by a bar and club, but it was the best night we had in Hvar. At 150 kuna , you had just over an hour in a boat , with people from other hostels - all you can drink. The boat alone was so much fun just meeting people and trying to keep your drinks safe when the boat was rocking. I would recommend anyone staying at dinks to go on it - you won't regret it!

All in all , I would return to dinks year after year. It was the perfect location , with lovely hosts and a great atmosphere.

Room Tip: If you choose the mixed dorm with a bathroom - that's the apartment ! Other rooms share toilets...

I had a great time at Dink's Place. The place is ideally located less than 10 min walk from the port, it's clean, cheap, comfy and I met great people there. The view from the terrace overlooks the see and is very pleasant.
Dink's dad and Angelica (who's working there in 2013) were very nice and helpful. Only regret is that I didn't get to meet Dink but hopefully another time. Will definitely go back there when I go back to Hvar.
