We were attracted by this restaurant's 'Excellent' rating. However, we cannot agree with it. I ordered marinated fish, a mixed salad and bread. They were all very good. My wife ordered a Dalmatian dish that, in English, was billed as beef stew. In fact, it was slices of lukewarm beef with a sauce poured over it. In fact, the problem seems to be with this "national dish". I have had it elsewhere and the version m wife had was better though unattractive.
We ordered the house red wine which we thought unacceptable even if home-made. Much better Hvar red wines are readily available from the supermarket. To the restaurant's credit they did not charge us for the wine and the selection platters that the next table were eating looked delicious.
So our advice would be do not touch the red wine or the beef stew if you go.
