“Great way to experience Dalmatian tapas”
Reviewed September 23, 2013 via mobile

This is a great little romantic find. Dimly lit, tiny tables and a quiet atmosphere make you want to cuddle up to your honey and enjoy. Servers were great at making suggestions. Just a house wine (white or red) is available, but it was fine. Marinated fish was amazing, Chef's special chicken was great, Croatian bread wasn't terribly impressive, drunken figs were yummy and unique. Great atmosphere inside with small tables and a dimly lit interior. I'd definitely go back to sample a few more items.

“A decent restaurant which tries to be different from your regular fish restaurant in Croatia”
Reviewed September 12, 2013

Found this restaurant while walking down from the Hvar castle. The ambience looked nice and when the lady explained it's a Dalamatian Tapas restaurant we thought to give it a try. Fish fillet was fairly tasty, stuffed bread not that great and Pasticada with njoki quite tasty. The desserts were interesting. Drunken figs was decent but the "Selection of hand baked Croatian patisserie" was a real surprise. Too many pastries with melons. Overall we were quite satisfied.

The food is delicious, people are friendly to explain all details about the meals, prices are very fair and the restaurant is very beautiful too. Worth going many times during your stay to try all the possibilities.

“Yes, it is different!”

First a warning: If you want to eat pizza or the same fisch or meat from the grill you get everywhere else, stay out of this place.

If you are open for new things, want to sit in a nice Dalmatian atmosphere, the walls full of local gears arranged in a funny and lovely way and if you are looking for the warm and friendly welcome of the locals, this is the place to go.

The menus offers a very nice selection of typical local Dalmatian food. No matter if you go for local ham or bacon, cheese, fish, warm or cold food every dish is authentic and very very tasty.
You can either order one if the mixed plates or ask the extremely friendly waitress to help you to select according to your appetite.

And I strongly recommend to leave some place for the great and always changing selection of home made cakes.

When we got this place recommended more than 10 years ago, it was a little secret and a nice way to escape the crowded city for some time.
Now the secret is well known, so if you want to sit outside you should reserve a table in time.

All in all a "must visit" location for us in Hvar even if they do not offer
Turkish coffee any longer.
