Apartment Jenny in Cavtat is modern, clean, very well equipped and comfortable. Perhaps a little bit expensive at 100 Euros/night, the most expensive (of eight) places that we stayed at in Croatia.
There were a few negatives. The first is the distance from sea front area if you choose to walk, with a steep hill to climb on the way back to the apartment. Second, it is right under the approach flight path of the nearby airport. Planes were frequent in the day but I heard none at night so sleeping wasn't a problem. Third, the kitchen sink is badly placed. And finally, the dining table is in a tight corner making it hard to get in and out when seated against the wall.
These, are of course, minor quibbles. Overall it is an extremely nice apartment and I would be happy to stay there again.
We reached the beautiful small town of Cavtat late afternoon after a long drive from Zadar and attempted to locate the property. Not being able to do so, we called the owner, Anita. She asked us to remain where we were and came to pick us up to guide us to her property!
The apartment is comfortable and lovely to say the least. She had water and beer stocked in her refrigerator for us. In terms of location, its far from the sea but in terms of comfort its a 10 on 10. It has a lovely small balcony to have morning coffees and wine.
The apartment offers all creature comforts. Infact, Anita has thought of the smallest of items required to make her guests feel at home. We were the first occupants of the apartment. I would go back in a heartbeat.
Met her lovely daughter too (the apartment is named after her).
Thank you Anita for beautiful memories. We miss you and the apartment.
