This is very good for a three star hotel. Having read previous reviews I was a little apprehensive about the food and the animations activity. However, I didn’t have trouble with either. The food is very good with a wide choice available, was good quality food, and very fresh. The animations team do make quite a bit of noise but it is short lived and there is plenty of space away from this for relaxing. It was a very clean resort and the vista is quite spectacular. It has excellent transport links to the airport, and Dubrovnik (via boat nearby), and is an easy walk into nearby Kavtat. The choice of drinks on the all inclusive are rather limited (with some quite poor alcoholic drinks) but we still found some good drinks. We would possibly consider not taking the all inclusive package in future but all in all thought it was ok.

Hotel location excellent. The Entertainment team are all French so no entertainment for the English. Don't know why TUI send British guests here. Food only average and usually cold although I did find a microwave where I could heat up food. Alcoholic drinks were of a very poor quality. We booked superior sea view room with balcony but to meet British Health and Safety regulations they had to enclose it but the materials they chose, probably because they were inexpensive, were opaque making it impossible to sit out there and enjoy the gorgeous sea views.

Travelled with First Choice (TUI). Just a short drive from the airport. Entry into the hotel spectacular, with a view out across the bay. The reception very efficient though it has to be said from the start that a lot of the staff appear to not want to be there. Room very nice. we were on the first floor with sea view (fabulous view). fridge, small bathroom with fabulous shower. The room had an access door to the room next door and though locked, we were not keen on that set up. Shower was nice and hot with great water pressure regardless of time of day. Liquid soap was a nice quality and the hair dryer great. Room cleaned every day and bed linen changed mid week. Balcony nice size but you can't sit down and look out due to perspex sheet covering over frontage. I guess this was for privacy. Nice white towels changed as required. Very easy to obtain beach towels (free) which you could change up to three times a day if required. Sunbeds were plentiful and free. Shop on site had plenty of selection from mosquito tablets to souvenirs. Pebble beach so take beach shoes. We had a parachute ride which was fantastic. other watersports available. The pool is small so don't be suprised as the brochure makes them appear much larger (but the sea is wonderful).
Activities were run by a team who predominantly spoke everything in French and pandered very much to the French.
FOOD
I am coeliac and was led to believe that there was good gluten free options. When you got into the restaurant nothing is very clear and when you enquire they all look at you bemused and eventually a member of the cooking team comes out and points to the salads stuff and vegetables. As any coeliac would know meat, fish etc is gluten free but they are unclear as to how these are prepared Ie sauces etc. They played at marking up everything that had gluten in ( it would be labelled 'A' but this was inaccurate. ie cous cous was available but had no warning on it, implying that it was gluten free. Fried eggs were a safe option but were cooked on the same griddle that the chef cooked pancakes on earlier. No English breakfast tea, but plenty of fruit flavoured tea. No choice of milk you were vegan. No gluten free cereals in the morning although you could request gluten free bread, however, the staff had very little understanding of english some communication was difficult. So coeliacs beware.(In fact I'm not sure that coeliacs are catered for much in this area). Waiter staff were rude in my opinion. when they made there way around the restaurant with there trolleys it was very much you get out of there way. Regards the general ambience of the restaurant it was very tired looking with seats badly marked. Free drinks are only available up to 2300 hours after which you had to pay, despite being all inclusive. Travel money cards and credit cards are widely accepted and cash machines are available on site and around the beaches.
All in all the sea view and location helps it make this a nice hotel but really it is only two star especially if you didn't have a sea view.

Cavtat is lovely and worth a visit but the Epidaurus hotel is disappointing. We arrived on early flight at 9.50 at hotel, but no room till 2 or food until 12.
In the brochure the superior seaview balcony rooms have lovely view and balcony but there is no view unless you're standing up. They've clad the balcony with corrugated plastic so you cant see out. Also makes the balcony like a greenhouse and too hot to sit there. I love to sit and read on the balcony on holiday and watch the sea. Impossible!
The all inclusive food is lukewarm or cold. Staff give the impression they couldn't care less, they wheel trolleys round the tables with the cleared plates and scrapings making it very down market, doing you a favour letting you have some food and there was no bacardi equivalent in the bar so you had to pay.staff were unfriendly.Fish over cooked every sort every day. Be prepared to wait ten minutes with your food concealing to get an egg.
Come to Croatia but dont stay here.

A very average hotel. Stunning position on the sea front, fab sunsets and that’s about it really.
We found the staff fairly friendly. Pools are very small with freezing water, don’t let the promotional pictures fool you. Very noisy with loud music played by the main pool which is used for the French entertainment team. If you want a chilled, relaxing holiday then this isn’t the place for you. You have to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve a sun bed which I hate. Umbrellas go walk about too if you leave your bed for any amount of time.
Food is ok, always plenty of choice. The soft drinks are really terrible as are the cocktails. They taste like paint stripper. The wine is about drinkable.
Rooms are ok, our family room was quite big with a good sized bathroom, no balcony.
Entertainment is non existent if you’re not French so take a good book or a pack of cards. Im not sure why they can’t employ an entertainment team to suit all nationalities. Yes there are a lot of French there but there are also plenty of Brits and other nationalities too.
Parts of the hotel look quite shabby and dated. Carpets and paintwork look old and tired. The pool areas too are starting to look shabby.
Cavtat is very walkable as are the water taxis to Dubrovnik and surrounding islands.
All in all we wouldn’t return to this hotel I’m afraid.
