Croatia was wonderful, I think the villa is perfectly located and the town is lovely, restaurants and service were excellent, the premium for the location was worth it. I especially enjoyed being able to walk on the long promenade and that while we had some steps it is a lovely part of town, the apartments on the hill may have better views but the climb not so pleasant, we had a lovely view from the patio and bedrooms. (when I was looking for villas none of the descriptions were open about whether they were on a steep hill and that the old town is much better) The villa is very nice, I didn't bother cooking - it is adequate for self-catering but very simple in terms of crockery and cooking materials. The host was very nice and friendly. The Croatians in general are very welcoming.
We didn't use the Jacuzzi - too hot! The fancy showers were ok once we worked them out but I am not sure how long they will last.
I would definitely recommend the villa and location, our teenagers also enjoyed it as there were activities that appealed to them - kayaking, diving, walking, trip to Dubrovnik
