Recently returned from a short break with family . The apartments are absolutely wonderful clean modern well equipped and have views to die for . There is quite a steep hill but worth it . A short walk away from shops and restaurants . Our host Nastasha very warm and welcoming always on hand .

A great value late booking. A nice, not too big apartment block. We were onto a winner from start to finish, only 10 mins max from the airport using Marco’s nice clean taxi (we arranged our efficient to/from airport travel via our online booking). Great hospitality by Natasha, nothing was too much trouble. Our room (as were others because new friends showed us) we very clean, modern and well furnished. Fabulous views of the coast and the sunsets. The apartment is in a nice quiet location which suited as it was close enough to small bars etc roughly 10 minutes away. I wouldn’t recommend this for the old or infirm as there are steep’ish hills either side of the block. Finally, a big thankyou to Natasha for going the extra mile for making our holiday break one to remember.

Ok so everyone talks about how steep it is, yes not for those with mobility issues but I’m 60 and managed it, with a couple of brief stops. The apartments are great and spacious. Very comfy and the air on is the best we’ve ever had. What we loved the most was how quiet it is. We were here 7 days and 2 of those we spent on the terrace by the pool, such a relaxing peaceful atmosphere with no issues re sun beds which is a pet hate on most holidays. There is a little shop at the top of the hill and a myriad of restaurants 10/15 min walk away. There is so many things to do from here we never got bored. Felt really safe and secure here and Natasha was really helpful with advice.

The only thing that slightly disappointed was that the WiFi could be very slow on some days and the tv had over a thousand channels and we only found 2 English ones being the news and MTV. Having walked miles it would’ve been nice to end the day with a little tv or YouTube.

Would I recommend....definitely.

Cavtat and Apartments Didan really grew on me. The apartment wasn't the most attractive externally but was nicely decorated inside, clean and modern with 3 sets of full length windows/doors, all with electric shutters and some with very fine insect mesh to keep bugs out. Aircon was efficient and the kitchen was fairly well stocked with utensils etc. Only 2 criticisms of apartment itself: (1) drawer storage was lacking. Just shelves by bed, a drawer-less dressing table and 2 very high shelves (even my husband needed to stand on a chair) in the wardrobe. Our 2 teenage daughters were using the bed settee in the lounge and had to use the tv unit for storage. (2) no sink plug, which seemed to be common in Croatia (we were touring around), so if you need to use the sink a plug would be worth taking. What was good was that an airer was provided on the balcony which was very useful for wet costumes or any handwashing and saves people draping stuff over the side of balconies. There was seating for 4 people on our balcony. The pool is quite small and not suitable for lots of children jumping in or for keen swimmers, but it was fine for just cooling down and relaxing. Its quite deep. Large towels were provided in a box outside, so you don't necessarily need to take beach towels.

Natasha the apartment manager lives on site and was absolutely lovely. Very helpful. Empties bins daily, refills loo paper and changes bedsheets and towels after a few days, as well as answering any queries and selling ferry tickets. She would magically appear when summoned by reception intercom. We also met the owner a few times, who seemed very nice. We were also given a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival which made us feel welcome.

The views from the apartment were absolutely amazing, especially at sunset. There is a clump of lovely cypress trees in front which shield some of the less attractive views of the large hotel at the bottom of the hill and make the sunset more interesting. You can also see across the bay to Cavtat town. However, one of the reasons for such lovely views is that it's on a VERY STEEP hill. I'd read reviews which mentioned this but didn't realise how steep the incline was. I think the roads leading down to the apartment and from there to the bottom are probably private and are more like steep ramps, plus lots of steps. If you have mobility issues this definitely isn't the place for you. You can't avoid a hill as you have to go down to get to the main beach promenade which leads you on to the harbours/town where the bars/restaurants and shops are. The apartment is at the very far end from the town. Its about a 5 min walk to the beach/bar area via the hotel in front and a 20 min walk to the main town - but its a lovely walk along the promenade and around the beautiful harbours, especially at sunset. I just dreaded the walk up at the end of the night, although I did feel fitter. The nearest restaurant is Zal's at the far end of the beach which was no frills, reasonable and friendly. Lots of others further around harbour, but some pricier and no better.

We drove to Cavtat and did get lost trying to find the first turnoff. It looks more like a rough layby but once you've found it you pass a little shop Market Lina and its adjoining bar (look for yellow parasols in summer). Then its a very sharp left turn or you can go straight on and follow the road round. Either way, its extremely steep and we thought we would burn the clutch out trying to reverse. There is a few parking spaces at the apartment, usually enough. My husband and I started walking up the hill in the mornings to the tiny shop and bar, which is full of locals. Although its by the main road it was quite nice to have a coffee & croissant and watch the goings on, buy a few supplies and then return (teenage daughters still in bed!)

I actually really miss Cavtat and the Apartments so I think I would return and would recommend them if you don't mind exercise.

Room tip: One with a balcony overlooking the pool gives you a dual aspect. But imagine all have good views.

We stayed here, this July, I have to say the apartment was really nice, tastefully decorated and well equipped. Natasha who runs the building, is a lovely woman. The views of Cavtat and Dubrovnik from our balcony was unreal.
Its about 15 mins to some really nice restaurants , we passed the bars out on the Epiduarus beach, which are ok for a nightcap.
The downside to your view, is the climb up to the apartments,we are both 50 but fit. It may not be, for everyone. However if you don't mind this climb , the view , welcome and tranquillity will be worth it. Tom
