We spent 10 days in Andrusko and Tanja's villa. Excellent hospitality, very clean and comfortable accomodation, lovely outdoor space with magnificant view! This was our second visit (first in 2012).

This was our fourth visit to Villa Andro and Cavtat. The first one was in 2004, and all of our subsequent trips to Croatia in 2008, 2010 and now 2013, included Villa Andro as the main destination. This speaks volumes about our satisfaction with Villa Andro. We always stay in the Apartment A2 on the second floor - we just love the view from those front windows!

The main things we like about Villa Andro are:

1. Location - second to none! In the heart of the old city, no hill to climb, stairs... Many properties state a few hundred meters from the sea, but do not disclose a steep hill to climb. Villa Andro is truly just meters from the water and main street, and there is no hill to climb.

2. Accommodation - the rooms are very spacious and very, very clean. My wife and I are very sensitive to this and we really like daily cleaning service at Villa Andro which is not a standard when renting apartments in Croatia. The furnishings are simple in line with the culture/tradition in this area. There is no luxury, but everything is in order and comfortable.

3. Gardens - beautiful traditional Mediterranean garden and front yard.

I normally need to stay connected with my work in Canada, so wi-fi Internet access is very important for me. I spent quite a bit of time working either from our apartment, or the table in the front yard.

Andrusko and Tanja are wonderful hosts. We truly feel at home at Villa Andro, and we will go there again.

Beach wise, we recommend the beach Kamen Mali. It is a 10-15 min walk from Villa Andro. You pass the main street and get to a wonderful pathway in the shade of pine trees that takes you to the beach. There is a small cafe/bar right there - they play very nice music in the afternoon and there is a regular crowd watching the sunset, sipping local white wine...

Room Tip: Apartment A1 has a balcony at the front - this is quite convenient in terms of being able to get out...

We were lucky enough to return this September, to Villa Andro. We were here two years ago and could not wait to come back. My husband and I stayed in the same apt. as before, 1st floor with balcony.
It was so good to see Andrusko, as he came to the taxi stand to meet us. We went back to the Villa and sat down with a cup of coffee and cookies and had a long chat with him and Tanya.
Our room was just the same: comfy bed, desk to sit at, plenty of storage space, beautiful view from our balcony, and private bath just off our room. Everything is spotlessly clean and cleaned every day!
We cooked some meals in the shared kitchen ( shared with the other room on the same floor, unless you rent the whole floor) The kitchen is equipped with Everything! This time even a washing machine, which we used. Tanya sent her delicious cake up for dessert a couple of times. We would either eat in the kitchen or our balcony or take it out to the homey garden area. At sunset we would go out on the patio and watch the sky turn pink, with a glass of wine! Oh how we miss that!

It was a week of relaxation! We walked every inch of Cavtat, ate at many of our favorite restaurants, and sat and enjoyed a coffee or drink at the different bars and cafes. We love swimming off both of the peninsulas, which we did everyday. One day we took a ferry to Dubrovnik, another day we booked a day trip ( with Andruskos help) to Kotor, Montenegro. When we got back home to the Villa we would sit down for a chat and a Kumquat Brandy. We both feel so much at home here and we cant wait to return.

We travel quite a bit and this is our favorite place, both Cavtat, and most especially Villa Andro, where you open the green door and step into what we feel is paradise. Thanks Andrusko and Tanya.

We had the pleasure, once again of staying at Villa Andro during our recent trip to Croatia. Andrusko and Tanja were extremely hospitable, and we received a warm welcome, along with some of Andrusko's homemade Kumquat brandy, when we arrived..( and a few more times as well!!)
This is the perfect place to stay, right beside the sea with a view of the sun, as it sets, over Dubrovnik in the distance.
Spotlessly clean, with a fully equipped kitchen, complete with washing machine and dishwasher, it is an ideal retreat, whether self catering, or trying out a different restaurant every night...they are all just a stone's throw away.
This year we took several trips, one to Mostar and also one to Korcula. Andrusko was very helpful in helping to organize these and in giving us some of the local history as well!
The pathway to Cilipi, is a lovely 10k walk over the seaside cliffs, especially at this, slightly cooler time of year. The other path by the sea, in the opposite direction, past the Hotel Epidaurus, was a find and has several secluded bathing spots which are well worth the walk!
We hope it won't be too long until we return again.

Room Tip: The first floor rooms have a balcony and are a lovely place to just chill!

We stayed 4 nights at Villa Andro (from 24/09-28/09). It's a nice location very close to everything in Cavtat. The room (2the floor) was clean but basic. No bathroom at the room but a private one next door. For the breakfast or a relaxing moment you can use the rooftop from the neighbour building. There's also the possibility to dry your wash here (a washing machine is also available). The only negative point is the fact that there's no Airport pick-up or take away service from the house and no buses going directly to Cavtat. Taxi prices are a real tourist Rip Off - 15 euro for only a 5 km drive !! But Andro is a very kind and helpful man and he arranged this on our special demand. Cavtat is a nice but beware but the restaurants are too pricy ( same in Dubrovnik) comparing to other less touristic places in Croatia. Alain and Cindy Belgium.

Villa Andro is just perfect. It is spotlessly clean and well maintained. The rooms are a good size and there is plenty of sensible storage space. They are light and airy and the decorated to a high standard. The bathroom is again spotless with a very good hot shower. The kitchens are well equipped to prepare a good meal with plenty of space to sit and eat.
The views from Villa Andro are stunning as it is only a few meters from the sea. Although there are plenty of restaurants nearby Villa Andro is very peaceful.
Andrusko and Tanja are so friendly and helpful. You are greeted on arrival as an old friend and offered coffee, a chat and of course the home made liqueur (delicious). Andrusko speaks very good English and having been born in the house and lived all his life in Cavtat knows a great deal about the area which he is happy to share.
Cavtat is a very restful, quiet place with a pretty village and lovely bay.

We are drawn back to Villa Andro time and time again. It's charm & tranquility provide the perfect place to unwind. The comfortable, simply furnished accommodation is exceptionally clean. You will find the most amazing views of Cavtat bay and Dubrovnik beyond from your window.
Cavtat is a picturesque town in-between two bays with plenty of good restaurant and bars. There are varied walks around the two peninsulas under the pine trees.
The hosts, Andrusko, Tanja & Andrej are warm, welcoming and extremely hospitable people. Tanja spoilt us with her home made cakes which went down well with Andrusko's coffee.
Our favourite restaurants are the Toranj, Poseiden (light meals), Kolona & Rokotin (round other side of the bay).
It is always a shame to leave Villa Andro but then there is always next year......
