We were at Topolino restaurant a few days ago and recognized huge flames from the first floor. After some inspection, we decided to try this terrace if we were avid of addresses.
We went there yesterday evening July 17, and the welcome was dodgy. The waitress had to ask another waiter, who asked the owner, who called God for a table.
Intrigue settled, we did have a choice between three tables, and we chose the one farthest from the grill, since after the fire, we predicted 'smoke'
The menu was clear, no illusions, and the choice was fish carpaccio for everybody, a bottle of opol Rosé wine, and grilled fish and lamb to share. We chose our lamb to be pink rosé, and the waiter asked us from where we came (as for the cooking) so my daughter said Paris, and the waiter responded with a conformation nod and a script on his order pad.
The fish carpaccio was a ball of rocca covered by an ultra thin paper like fish roundlets. I mean the fish was great and tasty, but like there was so little. Mind you, you could be served a dish this small at the main restaurants in Paris, so we played.
Then the main dishes arrived, and Wow. The cooking was exactly what we waited for.
The lamb was slightly crispy, with a soft pink core. The fish was soft, juicy with a flame of lemon.
We ordered another bottle of wine so much the meals were great.
As the deserts, like everywhere here, we're mainly cake, we went downstairs and had scoops of sorbets strolling on the marina.
Price wise for three, we got through with 900 kuna for the above, and it was really good.
Will go back no hesitation.
