We went twice at lunchtime to this restaurant and really loved the food. We experienced fresh trufflIe served with handmade Fuzi (pasta), I hate to imagine how long it took for someone to roll out enough of these twirls for the lunchtime servings, much longer than it took us to devour the lot! The food was reasonably priced for traditional homecooked croatian speciaities.

After very good reviews on Tripadvisor we decided to eat our first lunch on Brac. What a disappointment. Firstly we waited 40 min on starters and another 50 min on main course. Service was slow althought we were there at three o'clock and only 3 tables were booked. Our stares: ( koktail od kozic, skampi sa zara, capesante)were quite ok but grilled two fish were not good, were very dry hard and burnt . We almost didn't eat it at all. In addition the waitress had no idea how to remove bones from fish.
Unfortunately not recommend. We were let down by service and food as well.

Excellent food, beautiful setting and good for kids. Definitely well worth the trip out of town. We only went there near the end of our holiday. Then we had to squeeze in multiple visits. Our kids keep talking about the fabulous garden.

The Mali Raj is the furthest restaurant from Bol centre, about 25 minutes walk from the harbour close to the nudist beaches. The surroundings are amazing, with vineyards, olive groves, and beautiful gardens. The staff are friendly and unassuming.
The menu has a good selection and is fresh fish orientated. The quality of the food was great, we had a lovely greek salad, followed by grilled chicken and Gnocchi in a tomato based sauce and Spaghetti with broad beans and cuttlefish which was really tasty and visually impressive with the black ink. Price wise: food plus two 0.5L beers a coke and two 5.L bottles of water cost came to £28.00 ( less than half what we paid for a similar not so nice meal in the harbour). Having eaten in most of the restaurants in Bol I would say the quality of food was the best we have had thus far. It was certainly the most picturesque and atmospheric, particularly at night with good pleasant service. it really ticked all the boxes and has been our best dining experience in Bol so far. would highly recommend!

The best thing about this restaurant is that it is the only place we ate at in Croatia that had female servers. That may be reason enough for some of you to go to this over-priced restaurant that serves large plates of underwhelming food, but not for us. The meals we had, sea bass and salmon steaks, lacked anything approaching flavor, so in spite of the fact that the chef is award-winning, at least on these dishes he missed the boat. We passed on some of what might have been his specialties because of the prices. Scampi, which is large shrimp still in the shell (head included), was about US $70, and the "number one fish" (unnamed) was about US $80. These prices were much more than the other restaurants we ate at during our 10 day trip in Croatia, so we passed on them. In my opinion, there are better restaurants in town. I wouldn't go back to this one.
