Wife and I recently discovered this place and decided to check it out by making a reservations for lunch. It's a bit tricky to get to since the last several kilometers of road is non paved white road. So leave your black Bentley at home because it will be white by the time you get there. But this is in no way a deterrent because it adds to the charm and exclusivity of the place. The sprawling property is enclosed by stone walls and gates. You announce your arrival by ringing the intercom bell and they open the gate electronically. Looking around you see vineyards, olive groves, grass fields and woods. You drive through a tree lined path to the main house. It consist of a small boutique hotel, restaurant, and the indoor pool. Few hundred feet away is the outside pool with plenty of room for sunbathers and shaded areas for old folks like me. In the other direction is the winery complex and the olive oil processing area. Peace and quiet abounds, all you hear is the birds and clinking of the glasses if you are near the restaurant. The menu is limited but the dishes are creative visually and gastronomically. The wine is just as wonderful. This was a wonderful meal on par with finer restaurants abroad. We then visited the winery and sampled all of their wines. We went home with several cases in our trunk. So if you are looking for a place to simply relax and enjoy the good life, this is it.
