Great service from welcome to departure and this hotel is all about location!
Ryan checked us in, very hospitable and welcoming. Joey also helped us arranged for book a combi up to the mountain, the private car driver guide also turned out to be very obliging and polite at all times. The girls at the front desk always greeted with a genuine smile which we truly appreciate.

Apart from breakfast being very routine, and the hot water from shower which goes on and off, everything else we loved in the well appointed rooms. Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries, hairdryer was decent, daily bottled water replenished, nespresso machine with capsules, IPAD and the list goes on.. We were in room 123, basic deluxe twin.

We spent alot of time just chilling out in the bathroom if you can relate.. (2 girls..so..)
The bathtub was a Hansgrohe AXOR tub if that means anything to you...!

Good location to just lap in the slow pace around you, spend time walking about in the old town. Being a hotelier myself, this stay will remain as one of the more memorable and relaxing ones in years to come.

Well done and jiayou Indigo Lijiang!

Dear guest, first of all thank you for choosing us InterContinental Lijiang Ancient Town Resort for your Lijiang tour and we are so glad that you are satisfied with hotel location and our staff's service. As what you said, our hotel has a great location, guests can arrive the center of Lijiang old town by walking about 10 minutes. We believe that you spent a nice holiday here and enjoyed the spectacle of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.
Wish when you come to our resort next time, there will be a new appearance for guests like you.
Thank you! Sincerely, Jason Chen

Wow, I can’t say enough great things about this hotel. Picking accommodations in Lijiang is hard because there are so many options near each other, but Hotel Indigo stands out. First, it’s very accommodating to non-Chinese speakers (I can say as a western traveller who speaks almost no Chinese) I called the front desk asking for a specific beer and when one of the receptionists couldn’t understand me, they sent an English speaking receptionist directly to our room. Secondly, Hotel Indigo shares deals and facilities with the bigger/fancier Intercontinental Hotel next door—so the spa, gym, and cocktail hour can all be enjoyed at less expense! Finally, the location is amazing. Close to the action without being loud or busy. Definitely book here!!

My son and I spent 2 nights in this villa-like hotel. We had an upstairs room that was large and spacious. The only drawback was that when it rains you need to take an umbrella from your room. Breakfast was adequate and local. Would definitely stay here again. Being able to walk into the ancient town was a major plus.

The Indigo was one of several very nice hotels I stayed in during this trip to China. The room was quite large, well appointed and extremely clean. The room was upstairs in block 9 directly behind the reception area. The hotel also offered me a first floor room in a different block but was not as nice, so I elected to remain in this room. There is not an elevator but the bell staff carried my luggage for me. The staff was very friendly and efficient if a staff member did not speak English would find someone who could. I did eat both breakfast and dinners in this hotel. The breakfast buffet had Asian, European and American type breakfast items and was very good. The dinner menu was principally Thai food with some Western foods available but no steak; you had to go across the street to the Intercontinental Hotel for a wider selection of Western foods, a KFC was also within walking distance. In the morning I was surprised to see the top of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain visible at the hotel. Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is a mountain massif or small mountain range in Yulong Naxi Autonomous County, Lijiang, in Yunnan province, China. Its highest peak is named Shanzidou (Chinese: 扇子陡) and is 5,596 m (18,360 ft) above sea level. This range adjoins the Himalayas.

Room tip: Rooms facing north and Jade Dragon Snow Mountain would have a view, there are no loud rooms in this facility was very quiet.

Excellent hotel and staff. Rooms are very spacious and set out nice in villa type buildings. Amenities are also good in the room with tea and coffee machine, safe, plenty of bottled water and slippers etc. Rooms are done in the horse style also so have some quirky things such as the horseshoe hangers. Location is good as you can walk straight into the old town. Everything was lovely including the very friendly and pleasant staff.
