“Bus Station Hotel”
Reviewed May 6, 2012

This is next to the long distance bus station. The breakfast was below par, cold and oily food. The location is good, there is a night BBQ outside serving delicious Uighur BBQ.

Clean and professional. Nice staff and great location opposite fruit sellers and night market. New, so amenities, bathrooms, bedding etc all in very good shape. Pretty hard beds, but not the worst. Completely inedible Chinese breakfast.

A group of five of us stayed at Jiaotong Binguan for two nights in one triple and one double room. The rooms were affordable (Y280 for the double, Y360 for the triple) and clean, each with its own shower/bathroom. The beds were very hard, but that's to be expected in China. If you want to sleep in or start your day later, take some ear-plugs along as the rooms on the bazaar side can get a little noisy (but nothing too bad).

The location is great, right next to the long-distance bus station, and right opposite the bazaar, with a line of bread-sellers a short walk away (the sweet bread became especially addictive). On the other side of the hotel from the bazaar was a quite impressive water fountain display with some barbeque stalls.

The main sights are pretty easy to get to, with the Emin Minaret in particular a very nice walk from the hotel.

Just one con, given the price -- the breakfast (included in the room rate) is not worth getting up earlier for.

Rooms were recently renovated but the bathroom while clean required some plumbing attention. As the reviewer bellow noted, location is good being near the bazaar and local food stalls in the small car park behind the bus park- there is also a fun water show (think Vegas) in the town square adjacent. Although the hotel is next to the long distance bus station our room was reasonably quite. For the discounted rate of 240rmb we paid I'd recommend the hotel just skip the breakfast, it's quite poor.

A basic hotel in a convenient location. The buses from Urumqi stops in front of the hotel. There is a bazaar across the road and every night the carpark nearby is converted into a food street where you can get local food. Rooms are newly renovated. The only bad thing was the poor service where they didn't make up our rooms. Breakfast was included in the room rate but food was lousy.

Recently, 2 friends and I stayed here and found it to be a really nice hotel overall. The room was clean, and the hotel staff was helpful, plus it was really convenient when we caught a bus to Urumqi (as the bus station is right next door). Price was fairly reasonable, especially as this hotel was far nice than any other hotel we stayed at during our trip. The only real downside was we couldn't control the AC in our room and it was extremely hot while we were visiting. (Meanwhile there was AC, which was great and extremely necessary, we just couldn't control it).
