“Well preserved attraction”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

The temple has been added to for thousands of years. This is well done, not typical of other over-the-top sites in some other Chinese locations. Worth a visit, particularly if you appreciate the long history of Confuscianism.

“the great master”
Reviewed March 31, 2013

qufu is mostly famous for Confucius, the greatest master and philosopher of china.he was born here.he taught here and he died here.
the temple complex(consists of his palace and school) has a lot of history inside it , for about 2500 years.he established his teaching school here, fell out of favor of the emperor, traveled a lot, came back and died here. his cemetery is a little far off nearby in qufu.

the best thing about this temple complex is the peace and tranquility it offers to the truthful visitor.
a great place to contemplate, not suitable for run of the mill tourists, but for real followers of the master.

“Don't Miss This UNESCO Site!”
Reviewed December 13, 2012

Don't miss the Wu Daozi masterpiece in one of the back buildings. His engraving of Confucius's portrait is one of his only surviving works. Also, don't miss the carved stone panels, arranged like a comic strip, portraying Confucius's life. Read it from right to left.

“Great Experience”
Reviewed November 24, 2012

Visited in August 2012 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Lots of history. Well maintained grounds. Had an English speaking guide which helped explain things.

Saw all 3 sites.
