Overall, we had a great experience. Friendly staff (with one exception), clean room, quiet area and easy access back to interstate. I would highly recommend as a place to stay and would return if given the opportunity. We did not utilize the hotel bar/restaurant, but it seemed nice.

Our club volleyball group had 3 teams plus parents staying at this hotel for a weekend tournament in Birmingham. There was also a huge LaCrosse tournament as well, so the hotel was FULL of teenagers and their parents. Even with all those loud, growing kids, the staff was pleasant, the breakfast (which was included in our room, don't know if that is with each room/reservation) was a lifesaver and the rooms were quiet. The hotel is about 20 minutes from the Convention center, but it is only about 10 minutes from The Summit shopping area. Easy to find, clean and the staff--they were great with all these crazy sports parents and kids! The one downside was the air conditioning system. My family and I like to sleep in a cold room. The air system cut off in the middle of the night. This seemed to be a system-wide thing, as I couldn't get the air to come back on until the morning.

We stayed here again this year with another couple for a long weekend to attend the Indy Car race. This is a great location, quiet, and out of the way yet pretty close to a lot of restaurants, etc, etc.

The friendly staff was excellent overall and really made us feel welcome and comfortable, however both of our the rooms were a little worn. The Heat/AC units were both very noisy, at first we thought it was just our room but our friends made the same comments about the noise. The bedding needs to be updated, sort of sagging in the middle....rooms were not terrible but just not up to the comfort level that we have come to expect from the Hilton brands.

We might stay here again but we might look elsewhere first next year.

HGI in Liberty Park is very nice for the business traveler working nearby or visitors in the area.
The location is in a nice development but away from the noise of I-459. The breakfast buffet was very good. Rooms are standard for a mid-range hotel but comfortable and well furnished.

I have stayed many times in this hotel, while visiting relatives in the area. The staff, rooms, dining, and public areas are always top notch! I would highly recommend this hotel! The hotel is situated in a very nice, quiet area.

The front desk staff is far from friendly. Too busy looking at their monitors to make eye contact. Needed a color copier and was told they don't have one. Unusual for a HGI property. The waitress at breakfast was too busy telling her life story to someone to bring fresh coffee.Room needs updating but was quiet.
