“Great views despite the rain”
Reviewed April 26, 2014

We got some drizzle on our visit to Birmingham, but wanted to see the Vulcan anyway. You get a ticket to the museum for your admission, which I'd recommend just to understand why there's a Vulcan overlooking B'ham. Views from the top are great, but not for those afraid of heights. My husband was a little skittish on the metal flooring up there, as you could see down below your feet. Walk up the stairs for a sense of accomplishment!

“Nice stop”
Reviewed April 24, 2014

We really learned a lot about pig iron and the basics regarding Birmingham history. The exhibits were just the right length to inform, but not overwhelm.

“Great date night or family fun day activity!”
Reviewed April 18, 2014

My first adventure to Vulcan was apart of a great date night through the city. I must say the night view of the city is beautiful and the photo opportunities are endless atop of Vulcan Park. It's a definite must see. Later I actually visited the museum portion with family and my nieces and nephews really enjoyed themselves. The museum is really insightful and they enjoyed learning all the facts. They also enjoyed seeing the city and picking out places they had been from the viewing deck. It was wonderful a must see!!!!

“Nice!”
Reviewed April 17, 2014

Got to visit but decide it not to go up as it was a cloudy cold day. But the grounds are nice. Wish there was an option to see the small museum without going or paying to go up the tower.

“Need to see at least once”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

Vulcan Park and Museum was renovated a few years ago and the renovation was very well done. If you are from out of town or if you live in the area and have out of town guests, this is a good landmark to show them. The view at the top of Vulcan is stunning. On a clear day, you can see for several miles. You are looking down into Jones Valley (The valley the city of Birmingham was built). At night, the city is all lit up and its a very nice view.
