The display of the art made by the Inuit people of Canada was absolutely beautiful. What an excellent display of their traditional way of life and culture.

This museum is free and is a real asset for the city.. The recent showing of Norman Rockwell's art was excellent. I went twice! Their Wedgewood collection is very extensive and displayed nicely. The museum is spacious and well laid out for visitors. Free parking too.

The traveling Norman Rockwell exhibit was fascinating in how Rockwell's art progressed throughout the decades. The brushstrokes and detail do not necessarily translate perfectly to magazine covers, a compendium of which was included.

We also enjoy the rest of the museum, which takes literally hours to view, and which is free of charge. A bargain and a delight.

This is one of the best art museums in the South. I have been a few times and think the African art collestion is the jewel of this museum. Birmingham is very fortunate to have this in their downtown.
