One of the rare Western Style restaurants in Chengde. Milan is well situated and the choice of food is large. The setting is nice and cosy.
Despite the name "western style", most courses have a Chinese touch which may not be to the taste of Western travelleers craving for a homy touch : the porck chops are actually served in a spicy soup. The service is not the place's forte : courses are served in a random order (chinese style) : salads may be served after the entree.
Also, our waitress was quite obnoxious. Finally, all our neighbours were chain smoking (despite the ban on smoking in public places in China).
