“The show to see! Transport tip.”
Reviewed October 17, 2013 via mobile

You have to see this, really, don't miss it. I am not a show person and loved it.

The transport back after the show can be a hassle. It is not far and not easy to find a taxi or ecart. So best to arrange hotel to get tickets for you and have someone take you there and back.

If you see signs showing 50RMB in Chinese down the town, they are mountain side places, local houses or nearby viewing terraces the locals have made. Avoid these, I did that once before but sitting in the official seating area, in the correct place can not be beaten.

If this is useful please tick the little box to say so, thanks so much. Rick Shaw

“This place should at Guilin”
Reviewed September 7, 2013

Traditional show, folk songs and stun move available here.
Different songs with different story. There is a board for translation.
Even without to know about the story, is ok to enjoy a great show.
After the show, you will surely pay respect to all the dancer.

“Part Circus, Part Acrobat”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

This event is worth an evening attendance during one night in Guilin (if you have several). It is better than hanging out in "foreigner street" (which you can still do once you get back). If you attend in winter, as I did, bring your warm overcoat--there is no heating in the theatre.

The cast of the show is talented and sincere, but this is a regional troop. The show is a series of artistic scenes and acrobatic performances that are common entertainment for foreigners in China. The repertoire is current, however, as a very talented juggler did such a fantastic "Psy" dance that he Korean tour attendees were (literally) dancing in the aisles.

There is a great opportunity for family pictures after the show as the whole troop assembles in the front entrance and will pose for and with you.

Take a chance on avoiding a more boring evening in Guilin :)
