“Nice bridge - but wouldn't go out of the way specifically to see it”
Reviewed November 16, 2013

It's a beautiful old bridge - but I wouldn't make a trek out just to see it.

What I would suggest, is to bike up to the Yulong bridge and take the bamboo raft down the river. You could probably catch a raft further upstream if you really wanted to spend even more time on the raft.

“Stunning view of the river”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

The best part about this 400-year-old bridge is the view it offers of the Yulong River. The street leading up to the bridge is lined with tourist shops, but to me this added to the experience. While the nearby Fuli Bridge is much less touristy and much more picturesque, the views from the Yulong Bridge are superior. Both bridges unfortunately have trash floating along the river banks. Recommended for its history and views.

“Lovely bridge - but a tourist leech”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

Was less than impressed by this part of our trip to be honest. Not sure what its like it the busy season but in the off season the area is very poorly handled, with floating rubbish by the banks and locals trying desperately to get you to pay everything you've got on souvenir tat and photos of you on the rafts as if its a theme park ride. Wouldve been much better to cycle through, enjoying the countryside and the bridge but not stopping if Im honest.

“Don't miss it by bike or raft”
Reviewed October 17, 2013 via mobile

Do this, really! I have come to Yangshuo many times and did not come to this area or the river because I thought it too touristy, I was wrong.

The hassle free way (meaning you don't have to bargain and end up paying the same anyway) is take a tour that includes the rafting 160 pet person. Or if you cycle up there and raft down to jiuxian (very worth a look) takes about 1.30 hours and costs 200 to 240 a raft holding 2 people.

If you want to stop the raft, point to where and say 'TING'

Hope this helps, if useful please tick the useful box so I can feel your love ;)

Thanks

“A gorgeous bridge”
Reviewed August 4, 2013 via mobile

The history and the views make this worthwhile. We cycled and soaked in the views from the apex of the bridge - both ways. Loved it. Had a reasonable mango smoothie on the riverbank - watching the mayhem of the touts. Just lovely.
