This was a wonderful lace to stay and explore the area. Easy walk to the Village or out into the countryside. Plenty of cycles to use to explore further afield.

Wonderful friendly and helpful staff and accommodating when we needed an early start. They made reservations for us to go rafting and to get to and from Guillan.

Great room with plenty of space, clean and warm. Food was also wonderful.

Highly recommend staying there.

Yangshuo Village Retreat a beautiful secluded location outside of the busy center what gives you a good place to rest and enjoy the beauty of Yangshou. All the girls in the reception were great, the restaurant is cozy and they prepare really very good foods, .
Our room was big - lovely with ornate furniture and a stunning view from the balcony. Nice big bathroom. We were very very happy with all the staffs of this resort including the owner from Belgium - all were very nice and always accommodating.

This resort is located few kilometers outside Yangshuo city center but they provide free shuttle which was available between the hotel and to the West street, city center - check the time and inform in advance that when you like to use the free shuttle.

This hotel was absolutely beautiful. We stayed for two nights and booked a family and a standard room. They upgraded us to the family room and it was awesome! It is a little bit out of the way (which means it's a quiet hotel which was great!) but they have a shuttle that runs every hour from 9:30am to 9:30pm. And if you book any tours with them they'll take you where you need to go on the shuttle no matter the time of day. We booked the water "driftage" (it was amazing! It's like a river water slide, definitely recommend it!) and needed to be at a park at 7:30am and the shuttle took us and even stopped at a bakery so we could get breakfast first. The rooms were great (the twin beds were hard but the kind bed was soft). Air conditioning was great (general tip for hotels in China, the lights and air conditioner turn on when you're hotel key is in the slot, but try putting any card in and see if the lights stay on so this way you can leave the air in while you're out. It won't work on all, but it will work in some and it's worth it!). They also have a restaurant, which is great for slowly getting into Chinese foods because they have some good westernized foods that are still Chinese. However it is a bit pricey so if you want to stay cheap eat while you're out and not at the hotel.
Also, the staff speak English very well and are extremely helpful!!! They can answer any questions for you.

Visited Yangshuo last month (July 2016) with my son an really enjoyed staying at the Yangshuo Village Retreat. It's location slightly outside of the downtown area made it quiet and comfortable. We had a nice sized room with AC that worked like a charm during the 38degree heat we endured during our stay. The rooms were comfortable though the bathrooms are interesting because the shower was in same space as toilet so we had to dry the floor after a shower. Our room had a window and a
Balcony and plenty of space to spread out and relax.
The front desk was most helpful with area attractions,Ticket bookings for attractions and also Bike rentals for adults and kids.
The restaurant bar downstairs is open 7:30am-9:30pm (and later just for drinks) and is Fairly priced . Food ranged from ok to very good depending on selection. We fines in several meals and found breakfast and their pizza to be excellent.
Chinese dishes, While Flavorful, were a bit on the oily side.
The host, Gerd, is a Belgian native now residing in Yangshuo with his family. He is very receptive and a very nice guy too!
We look forward to visiting avgainsoon!
