“Just beautiful and no one knows about it”

Dalongtan Scenic Resort
Reviewed January 1, 2014

This park is equal to or even better than anything I saw in Guilin, and admission is FREE. It has so many hills with incredible views if you want to enjoy a hike or find a quiet spot to relax, and the air is unbelievably fresh. Another reviewer called it "Liuzhou's lung" and I'd have to agree! In the spring, you can see the peach blossoms blooming, and in the summer the array of butterflies is fantastic. If you climb up one of those hills and sit down for a moment, often a butterfly will land on your shoulder or knee.

My home in Liuzhou is near Dalongtan Park. You can feel the air there is much fresher than that in downtown. Absolutely a natural oxygen bar. It's a typical evergreen southern park in China. There are some beautiful lakes in the park. You will have a nice time to take a boat on the lake, take a snap and feel the freeze in the afternoon. Also good for hiking, running, bycycling and climbing. I recommend you go there in weekday. It's very crowded in the weekend and holidays since it's free.

1084 hectares and 24 individual peaks. Beautiful acacia lined boulevards that showcase the area's subtropical vegetation, combined with some impressive karst peaks. I enjoyed climbing Mirror Hill and Sleeping Tiger Hill but found some of the man made attractions to be rather tawdry.
Take bus 19 to get to the main entrance.
