“best site on the Silk Road”
Reviewed June 21, 2013

In combination with the camel ride on the dunes this was a site worth seeing. The view of the oasis in beween the dunes was memorable, it must have been a welcome respite for travelers in ancient times.

“Nice oasis”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

This place seems to have two listings here.
The place is nice but not as good as in the professional photos. Part of the access was blocked on the dunes so we could not get very good photos.
When you get to the dunes just turn right and keep walking on the road.

“No detour required”
Reviewed May 21, 2013

You will bump into this place as it is at the edge of the sand dunes. Just follow the path. Hard to get a photo as beautiful as the ones on the web as part of the dunes was closed off. Not as spectacular as some photos that you can see on the web. But since you are there you may as well take a look.

“Dunes & Pagoda”
Reviewed May 10, 2013

The lake is limpid and not especially beautiful, in my opinion, but going into the dunes and exploring the pagoda was fun. You can take a golf cart (pay each way) or walk. If you don't want to hike in the sand, there is a road way just a bit beyond where the golf cart drops you off which you can use to walk to the lake and pagoda area. We enjoyed an afternoon in the dunes, seeing the pagoda and camels and watching people climbing and playing in the dunes.
