We stayed here for 1 night as we arrived in the middle of the day and did not want to risk ascending the mountain and finding no room to stay. It was easy to find and most locals knew of it if we showed them the name on a bit of paper. Although no one spoke English they did have somebody on the end of the telephone who was happy to help. There is a restaurant downstairs and the food smelt excellent, the meal we had was ok but not really to our liking but thats our own fault for not knowing the language. The room was very good as was the shower. We left our bags here and spent the following night on the mounatin.
As a one/two nighter this was fine, infact quite luxuirous and very cheap (out of season?) The staff were always very helpful but the language barrier and perhaps our shyness meant we didn't get the best from the place or the useful info you sometimes expect from a hotel. I would still recommend it as a base as it had all you needed but not if you need lots of help and assistance but dont speak the language. That said Mr Chengs tourist office almost opposite spoke good English and filled in the gaps for us.
