Just a lovely place all round, run by a Chilean/Danish family who are happy to help with any request/winery reservation but are so relaxed there is no sense of selling. Didn't use the service but we were offered cold drinks/beer and there is a cheese plate/wine option as well. Rooms are airy and bright with balcony overlooking the vines, beds are large, satellite TV and best internet connection we had in Chile. Breakfast is very good and more choice than usually offered in South America. Beautiful pool with sunloungers/umbrellas to while away the afternoon while watching the winery at work. Dog will run with you if you are looking for a morning jog through the vineyard. Biggest bonus we hadn't realised is the best restaurant in town (Vino Bello) is a 10min walk through the vines from the hotel, we went twice and would have gone 3 times but they are closed on Mondays.

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms have balcony and you can have the doors open at night which is lovely.

We picked this hotel based on Frommers and their website, and were delighted with our choice. The facilities are "as advertised" and more. We really enjoyed an afternoon time at the pool, having wine and cheese on the covered patio, and walking through the vineyard to the Peruvian and Italian restaurants. The owners and staff are marvelous and so helpful. We would love to go back.

My first time to Santa Cruz, and I was looking for something different that would set itself aside. Hotel TerraVina is set on the outskirts of SantaCruz city and situated in the middle of a vineyard. If you are looking for a little slab of paradise than stay here. The rooms were gorgeous and decorated with a rustic theme, and the pool in the middle of the courtyard is excellent for some post winery relaxation in the sun. The hosts were helpful and extremely friendly. There are restaurants and other vineyards within walking distance, which includes a walk through the vineyards. A great place to meet other people and share experiences. I will always be looking for another hotel that stands up this experience.

When in Santa Cruz, Chile, this hotel is a must and the best in all of this wonderful and quaint town. When there this last April, I felt as if I was back in the middle of Tuscany.

We were at this hotel for two nights in May of this year. The hotel was built in the last two years. It sits in the middle of a vineyard within walking distance of the Laura Hartwig winery and an Italian restaurant. The rooms are excellent, with good TV choices. Good breakfast provided.
Some comments here have emphasized the need for a car. I do not agree. The center of Santa Cruz is about a half hour walk away and cabs can be used. It is possible to reach Santa Cruz by bus from Santiago or by train and bus through San Fernando.
Santa Cruz has an historical museum that is not to be missed. There are good craft shops and some restaurants. The town was hit by an earthquake in recent years and there is some evident damage but all services have been restored.
I recommend the TerraVina hotel and town of Santa Cruz highly.

Room Tip: Second floor for best views.
