This lovely guest house is a destination in itself. From its warm and welcoming staff to its immaculate rooms and gorgeous pool, Posada Colchagua is a fantastic option for anyone visiting Santa Cruz and Valle Colchagua. We stayed here for two nights and would have stayed a week if our itinerary had allowed. We spent one entire day just relaxing by the pool, drinking wine and agua mineral, and marveling at the impossible blueness of the sky - and it was a day well spent.

I loved this place. I was worried since many times the reviews don't necesarily match up with place. Not the case. All the reviews are right.
The owner is the sweetest and most caring. She really is taking great care of her Posada and makes you feel right at home.
The only con (if you care) its that its far from Santa Cruz so you need a car or taxi to get there. But its very quiet, has a beautiful garden. The rooms are beautiful, clean, good linens.
You can also cook in the kitchen since she only provides breakfast.
The pool is very nice.
Perfect place to relax, have some wine and visit the wineries.
Will definitely come back.

The region and the hotel are beautiful, but what really makes this hotel special is its owner, Sra. Leonor, who welcomes her guests as if they are part of her family. She pays attention to each detail to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The rooms are very spacious and pretty, with lovely bedlinen, localy embriodered cushions and all.
The only downside is that, because of the hills surrounding the area, internet conexion was impossible!

After a tour of 2,5 weeks in Chile, we've spend our last nights at the Posada. It was an enormous relaxing end of a wonderfull vacation. The rooms are very clean, we had an great country braekfast, the swimmingpool is great! But the best of our stay here was the kind and hardwarming welcome and care of Leonor. So, if you need a good place to stay in Chile and you want to visit the vineyards, go to the Posada Colchagua!!!!!!!!!!!!

I always say I can fly economy (if I must) but I must stay in a great place. And this place lived up to my expectations (note, you are in a rural area, not NYC). The Colchagua Valley is very rustic and rural -- it is Napa 100 years ago. It is gorgeous, beautiful, still "untouched" by the industry. You can stay at a vineyard and spend $$$$. But Posada Colchagua gives you a sense of living with the rhythm of the locals for a fraction of the price. The inn is exceptionally clean (up to Swiss standards!), and the owner, a lovely woman, is so enthusiastic to be the best host possible, it is impossible not to love her! She went out of her way in every possible way... making a special breakfast, leaving a beautiful candle-lit lantern outside our door for when we arrived late one night. The one drawback is that I don't think there is much english spoken here. Fortunately my boyfriend also speaks spanish; but truly, if you try, she will do everything possible for you. I find this passion of making one's guest happy from the heart (I love the Four Seasons, but it is a different sensation when it comes from duty vs. passion) is a rarity and a treasure when you find it!!! You will not be disappointed. All recommendations from other Trip Advisor guests were spot on and if/when I return, without hesitiation or looking elsewhere, it will be my pleasure to stay here again.

Posada Colchagua is a great B&B in which to enjoy this wine region without having to break the bank. The rooms were simple, clean, and pleasant and we also enjoyed the peaceful location outside of Santa Cruz. While most hotels that offer a welcome drink give you a watered-down thimble sized glass, Leonora stocked our room with a complimentary bottle of wine upon checkin. She was very eager to make sure our stay was enjoyable, was very patient with our lack of spanish and use of a dictionary. She offers a full breaksfast as well, for those with big appetites! Overall I would highly recommend Posada Colchagua for those looking for a nice relaxing stop without having to pay the high prices of hotels right in Santa Cruz or at the wineries themselves.

Highly recommended with the caveat that you should speak spanish or be prepared to use a dictionary to communicate - which is typical of most of the region for those who veer off the chain hotel path. The hotel is 18 months old, has large, well appointed rooms in very good condition, with friendly, amenable staff who are willing to accomodate most reasonable requests.

The owner, Leo is anxious that her guests are happy, even going as far as taking us out to her vineyard when we mentioned wanting to visit something, small & local at short notice. The breakfasts are great & Leonora is more than able to provide recommendations to various restaurants, vineyards, horseriding facilities, etc. depending upon what her guests are seeking.

All in all, close to Santa Cruz and a real find for those seeking comfort and relaxation in well appointed surroundings.
