“A Perfect "10"”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

We did a tour of the high mountain lagoons which included the flamingo reserve, two typical villages the volcanoes and the lakes, with Desert Adventures. The entire day was amazing. Our guide was engaging, fluent in english, and well informed. Moreover, her genuine enthusiasm for the region, its heritage and its history was completely contagious. The snack in the sun was lovely, and the lunch was ample and delicious. Our only regret is that it was over so soon. This may not be the cheapest tour option, but you do get what you pay for. We used another agency earlier in the week at half the price and got half the quality. We did get a discount for cash, so remember to ask.

“Beautiful and peaceful”

Rough ride to get there, but I thought it was amazing. Take your time walking around and enjoy the fresh air.

“Amazing views”
Reviewed June 29, 2014

we visited with touravista booked through Imagine Latin America. The guide was great and had lots of local knowledge. Lunch was in a rustic restaurant but good. we were lucky enough to visit on a calm clear day and didnt want to leave. Altitude was not an issue we stopped a couple of times on the way up for a walk to acclimatise.

“nice, but there are better options”
Reviewed June 19, 2014

We did several tours in Atacama, and this one was the least impressive (comparing against salt flats/lakes, the geysers and moon valley). It's certainly pretty, but it's a long way from town and you'll spend more time on the bus than at the site. If you only have a few days in Atacama, I'd recommend skipping this one in favor of some of the other options.

“Out of this world”

Definite must-seen! Most beautiful among them is Miscanti lake. Just be aware of altitude sickness, as it has 4200 m. above the sea level.
