This little B&B is a bit outside the center of San Pedro. But you can take a bike for free and cruise to the center. It'll take you about 4mins. There's a small courtyard where you can have a drink and relax. The staff is very helpful and friendly. If you ask, they even drive you to the center or the busstation. The rooms are very spacious (there's one with a small kitchen inside). The rooms close to the berakfast room are very noisy. There are some issues with the water pressure (but probably that's the problem of San Pedro, located in the middle of nowhere).
We enjoyed our stay at the Incahuasi's and would recommend it.

Room Tip: ask for the spacious room with the little kitchen inside if you want to cook.

Incahuasi will remain for us a very special place. Sandra has been extremely helpful and nice during our stay. Her breakfast is fantastic. The tour she organized for us at the El Tatio Geysers was unique. We shared a kitchen and bathroom with another couple, and had a great time sharing stories and pictures with them. We loved to be a little outside the center, but we only had to walk 10-15 mins to get there. We would definitely recommend Incahuasi.

We spent 5 nights at Incahuasi on an all-inclusive plan. I was initially put off by the requested 50% deposit, but I'm very happy I didn't let that deter me. Sandra runs a very professional guesthouse/hotel and every aspect of the trip she arranged for us exceeded our expectations. Our room was huge, comfortable and clean with plentiful hot water and wifi from one corner (otherwise it's only in the courtyard.) The breakfasts were among the best we encountered in our travels, dinners at the hotel were homey and well prepared and the restaurants to which she sent us were top quality. Sandra has been involved with the tourism industry for 20 years and it shows. She understands the needs and preferences of travelers and works hard to make everything work seamlessly. Since we were her only guests on an all-inclusive plan, she sent us out with other groups on some days, hired private guides for us other times and even took us out herself. She was exceptionally fair about prices and amenities and made sure everything ran smoothly.

Note: There are several hotels in San Pedro with similar names. Work with Sandra Fuentes

Tip: Let Sandra book your plane tickets between Santiago and Calama. The cost is 1/3 the cost of booking them from outside Chile.

I stayed a full week the last december at incahuasi with Sandra and her daughter Moira, I even spend new years eve.. Sandra is amazing and very helpful. She can organise everythings for you, like transfers to the airport, restaurants and tours of course. She also is a great chef, and she does her own cereales bread.. what a delicious thing with some butter and homemade jam in the morning. Sandra is very well organized with some good recommendations and the most important is that she is always smilling. The accomodation is charming always clean and comfortable and the atmosphere peaceful, you can be relax at the terrace and enjoying a refreshing beer, the hotel is a short walk from the town but Sandra offers lift to the centre.
I do recommend Incahuasi if you want to enjoy your stay at San Pedro you will feel like at home somewhere else.

Room Tip: Room number 1 is very good.

We stayed 4 nights at Incahuasi. The stay was extremely relaxing.Nothing was too much trouble for Sandra who spoke excellent English. We took the the all-inclusive option which included tips every day, airport transfers breakfasts and evening meals. The trips which we made were fantastic value for money including lunch and early start breakfast.3 of the trips were in a 4x4 and were for us and another couple alone so we were able to stop as we wished. The 4th trip was in a small coach (10 people) but was very well organized and the guide gave us a commentary in English even though we were the only English speakers on the trip.
Sandra provided us with 2 evening meals- the other 2 were paid for by her in local restaurants ,both of which were good.
Sandra was so helpful and ready to offer any advice when required. She offered lifts to the cenre of San Perdo several times- the accommodation is 10-15 minute walk to the town square.
The atmosphere of the accommodation was quite relaxed and we were able to make drinks as needed,Everything was clean and comfortable and Sandra was available if we had any additional requirements.
All in all we would highly recommend Incahuasi -it fulfilled all our requirements. If you decide to book be sure you communicate with Sandra-as ther has been another provider attempting to cash in on her good reputation.

Three of us booked into La Cabur at Incahuasi about 2 months prior to our visit to San Pedro de Atacama. We chose this hostel based on Trip Advisor reviews. We wanted to share a cabin with two separate sleeping areas and kitchen facilities, and La Cabur seemed like a perfect choice.
Incahuasi is quite a ways out of town, at least a 15 minute walk. There are much better locations. We arrived at 4 PM and were told that the previous people had not yet checked out of the cabin, but we could stay there anyway. If not, we could share one room that they showed us. Neither was good for us, so we locked up our things in the one room that wasn't being used and went into town. Upon returning at 7 PM, the previous people's things were still in the cabin, so we decided that we would not stay there. We could not get our things that were locked in the room, and we were told that we shouldn't lock the room. So someone had to go in through the window and unlock the door from the inside. The staff was completely indifferent about the situation. So this is a warning, a confirmed reservation for the cabin means nothing. Combine this with an indifferent staff, and I could not recommend Incahuasi to anyone. The next day, I emailed Sandra, the owner about what had happened. Three weeks later, there is still no response.

Dear guest
I am really sorry to hear you experience with us. This was the first year my son who grew up together with Incahuasi was in charge while I was working in Patagonia. Guest could not come back on time for the check out because their car broke down far away from San pedro and my son couldnt take the right decistion to take their luggage out. I am also very sorry that I didnt answered you on time, but I was away with no internet connection. I hope you have the chance to come back one day and enjoy some time in incahuasi.

Best Regards

The Incahuasi B & B might be nice and comfortable when Sandra, the owner, is looking after her guests and the sun is shining in San Pedro.
When we were there on 10th February 2012, neither was the case. It was raining, and Sandra was away. Her two sons were in charge and were not very professional. WiFi did not work, no hot water in the bathroom and when I asked why the beds had not been made, I was told that room service was not included in the Bed and Breakfast rate of 40’000 Pesos per night. However, the lady who prepared breakfast every morning, was very nice and helpful.
Our not very favourable impression of the Incahuasi was probably also due to the bad weather, the power failures and the leeks in the roof. The typical Adobe constructions in San Pedro are not made for the rainy season.

Room Tip: We asked for a room with a private bathroom. There are quite a few without.
