“Relaxing lunch”
Reviewed August 24, 2013 via mobile

I happened upon this restaurant as I was wondering down the Main Street. They have a great seating area outside as well as a large sitting area inside.

Great selection of salads which is a nice change in "carnivore heaven" which a lot of South America seems to be. Try the smoked salmon house salad. Comes with a mountain of green leafy salad leaves and a refreshing lime, avocado and quinoa side.

Not cheap, but hey, great food. I returned that evening for dinner with a friend. Again sat outside where they had a roaring fire going.

Highly recommended.

“Delicious in spite of touristic location”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

Amazing place, with a high-ceiling main room and small interior terrace; both with fireplaces, very handy in fresh August evenings. Great salads, delicious minute-made empanadas, very good corn bread - we were just missing enough opportunities to explore the menu further but both the food and the venue are great; do not get scary away by 'touristic' location on pedestrian Caracoles street, it is a compulsory stop when in Atacama region.

“Should not have worn the cloak of invisibility”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

We went to this restaurant for dinner on 14 July 2013. We really cannot comment on the food due to the fact that the waiters never actually got around to taking our order for dinner. We did order an appetizer and a couple of pisco sours. The drinks showed up but not the appetizer. No one ever returned to ask us about ordering dinner or wine or anything. After about 30 minutes, we finally flagged down a waiter, proving that we were not in fact invisible, and he was surly. And we were not making a scene, merely trying to inquire as to why no one had returned to ask us if we needed anything or wanted to order something. I suppose we could have stayed there for the entire evening, possibly through the night and been first to be ignored at lunch the following day. There are a lot of good restaurants in San Pedro and we have eaten at a fair number and have never seen such poor customer service. Save yourself a potentially embarrassing scene and go somewhere else.

“Large portions, delicious food, great ambience”
Reviewed July 2, 2013

Came here with a friend after a rough day of travel and had a really wonderful dinner. We sat in the back next to the firepit under the stars and it was a perfect and relaxing setting. I had the veggie sandwich and spicy mashed potatoes; the sandwich was seriously the largest and most delicious veggie sandwich I've had in my life. We also had a liter of the strawberry sangria (though they call it by another name) and it was really good. A perfect meal overall. Highly recommended!
