Cambodia is known so much for its ruins and temples and its traumatic modern history that there are few times when merely walking about in nature gets onto the radar screens of many tourists.
The Battambang Bat Caves are an exception. Now these caves don't rate as earth shattering but they are something different and they are at least one way of escaping some of the heat! This isn't a trip for those with mobility issues, you do need to do a bit of scrambling about.
This is a worthwhile side trip from your time checking out temples.
