The only bad thing about booking this hotel is you might not want to leave it!
Seriously - it's a great hotel for the price. As we arrived we were treated like royalty - the staff were very attentive. Then they gave us a free upgrade to the deluxe room, which was on the fifth floor.
The from was grand with a huge bed and a jacuzzi bath. There was a plasma tv with lots of channels, free water/coffee. The furniture is very good quality and looks expensive.
A big plus for me was the balcony, which each room has giving you great views over. battambang.
Seriously- you will not be disappointed with this place. I have been travelling for 3 months and this hotel makes my top two.

Room Tip: We stayed on the fifth floor - good choice. Restaurant is on the 1 st floor.

The service was best in here. Reception was always willing to help us with our questions. Rooms are so pretty and you get Jacuzzi :) Water in the pool was freezing but we didn't mind, it was refreshing. Good value for your money. We went to see the bats near the mountain temple and it was so amazing! We hired a scooter, That was the most easiest way to get different places.

Stayed on a business during September 2012, small motel just next to the bank of a river. The hotel was okay, clean with its unique wooden feeling in the room on all the furnitures. Breakfast was good with few varieties, had a good restaurants nearby. Battambang is a small city so the hotel is great for a short stay.

Pros:-
-Clean room with wooden feelings
-Got wifi internet service
-Nice breakfast
-Cheap
-Indoor pool
Cons:-
-Not much things to do nearby except few restaurants
-Only have 1 elevator, mostly walking up the stairs

On a 11-day trip of Cambodia with 7 different hotels involved, this place was the most "peculiar". That's not to mean it was bad, not at all. Three out of five stars over all. The place seems to be privately owned, so the tried-and-true standardization that one might expect from a hotel chain is not there. Here are my notes:

The hotel is right on the river with downtown Battambang immediately on the other side. One can walk to the other side, but it involves a 15 minute walk, which is probably too long for most people. There are plenty of tuk-tuk drivers near the entrance that are willing to take you downtown though, even though it is short distance. Don't pay more than $1 for that ride! By the way, for tours of Battambang, the drivers that hang out at the hostel can take you out for the day for $10. You will need transportation to places like the bamboo train and the "killing cave".

The LCD TV accepts USB flash drives, which in my case was great for watching "The Killing Fields" on the big screen, an excellent film that documents the Khmer Rouge's reign of the country. No other hotel I stayed in had such a TV.

Great showers! There are two showerheads, so coverage was great, and the water was immediately hot. The bathroom has an "open" design, which means that the floor is continuous through the toilet, sink, and shower area.

The furniture is Chinese and style, and made of solid wood. The vanity chair had to weigh at least 50 kgs all by itself. It made it hard to move.

The balcony was very dusty, a nasty surprise upon stepping out barefoot. That was unexpected considering how clean the room's floor was.

There was some ongoing construction in the building, so there was some dust in the parquet-floored hallway, plus some noise.

There was a complimentary drink at the lounge upon check-in for each guest.

The hotel pool is indoors, and not at all inviting. It's claustrophobic and small in the pool room.

About 200 m down the road is a restaurant called ASEAN, which is a very modern nightclub / restaurant. They serve serpent's head there, if you're so inclined.

Overall, it's a good choice if being close to downtown is important.

Great modern hotel - spotlessly clean. Nice indoor pool. Friendly staff. Limited English - but OK. Great views of historic central Battambang from rooftop deck - best views in town!! Food at restaurant was average - good selection though.
