This was our third visit to Cambodia but first to Battambang. The Bambu is a great hotel. Wonderful Cambodian hospitality and friendliness in a Western owned/managed hotel. Lovely large rooms (if a little dark) and wet room/bathroom. It's very well designed with a lovely pool in the middle. Breakfast arrangements changed whilst we were there and on our second morning we seemed to have much more choice and still good quality. The bar is a nice place to relax with comfortable chairs. The staff are delightful and nothing was too much trouble; they booked our bus seats back to Siem Reap and gave us good advice. Our tuktuk driver was connected to the hotel and, again, friendly, informative and really made our stay. We could have stayed longer and explored the area further - and more than happy to stay more nights at the Bambu.
